Vehicle Detail

I am selling my 1998 Ford Explorer Sport. Please READ the entire description carefully. I purchased this vehicle for my son...and it has run well. It has many new or recently replaced parts. NEW tires. I mean less than 1,000 miles on them. See the pictures.Intake gasket recently replaced.Alignment recently done - 1 month ago.Recent brakes.Battery is only 2 years old.Interior is from a newer Explorer. Now, all the power functions work...windows, locks, etc. The engine is strong, despite the mileage. Here is what has happened. Went to back out of the driveway, heard a thump...NO REVERSE. Literally, cannot back up. That said, the drive gear DOES WORK! You can drive this car forward using only the drive gear but no reverse. If you are a mechanic and want to put a junk yard tranny in this, you'll have a solid runner. Body panels are good, thought there is a dent on the passenger side. The running boards were removed. The windshield was replaced as the old one had a crack. The AM/FM/CD needs to be rewired. The AC blows cold...the HEAT blows hot. It has had oil changes and tranny flush. I DO NOT KNOW what is wrong with reverse, but I would wager a mechanic would. Buy it and replace the tranny for a solid runner or part it out...there is plenty of good parts. Car is driveable and you can drive it as long as you don't need to back up. On Mar-12-12 at 14:45:53 PDT, seller added the following information: I wanted to add that the running boards are missing and there is some rust along the rocker panels. A body man could easily repair them if you are looking to restore it cosmetically. On Mar-13-12 at 07:08:49 PDT, seller added the following information: We just had a man come and drive the car and he was very impressed with the way it handled. He said that he couldn't believe he couldn't find anything negative to say about the vehicle. That speaks volumes to the integrity of this little car. On Mar-13-12 at 07:13:25 PDT, seller added the following information: I also wanted to add that when you raise the hood and see how TOTALLY CLEAN the engine is you are going to say WOW ~!~
