Purchased truck about 4 years ago, previous owner went to West Texas to find a rust-free land cruiser. Solid engine, solid 4 speed transmission. ARB bull bar. I've tinkered fixed some issues and installed some nice options. Had radiator re-cored and re-sealed, had intake and exhaust manifolds planed and mated, installed choke cable. Added LED interior light for brightness, high end LCOT padded center console, with optional cup holders. Added the bigger Australian side mirrors, brown leather steering wheel wrap, fire ext., custom wooded tool holder for back. Headlight grill protectors. Car has Alpine CD player and nice speakers. I have the factory engine manual, Haynes manual, owners manual. Original tool kit for under seat. Truck has never left me stranded, if you know about these vehicles they are legendary for a reason. Runs cool and solid. Does not burn oil, maybe a drop or two of oil underneath after driving, but i've never had to add any oil between changes. Consistant coolant level. High end BFG all-terrains, they are about 5 years old, but over 75% tread life left. Just replaced clutch master cylinder to fix spongy pedal. Fresh oil change, always use WIX filters. Air conditioning works, but will only charge for a few weeks. I've never investigated, I only drive vehicle a few times a month, never needed it. Have brand new antenna for next owner, Hella 500 fog lights need new fuse. Yellow headlight film (for deer in area) Very good example of a FJ60 landcruiser at a reasonable price. Truck does not appear to be re-painted, there is some fading in a few areas. Underside is as solid as a 27 year old landcruiser could be. There is a tiny touched up area of rust under rear window rubber, also a couple of minor bubbles behind rear passenger wheel. They could be buffed down and touched up. Inside of passenger door has one area of rust where interior light pin pushes against it. About size of quarter and needs to be addressed fairly soon to prevent any issues. Pump the gas pedal, pull the choke, and truck fires up every time. Idles at 800, absolutely no surging. Great driver, no issues with any gears, and can even travel on interstate and anywhere else. Carb fan times out perfectly after truck is turned off.
