Vehicle Detail
For sale is a very straight and solid 1967 Mustang, built as a California Special. I have known this car since 1974 when the original owner and myself went to school together, he built it as a C/S then. Most of the hard work and mechanical work is done, ready for paint. The car has a new Ford Motorsport SVO 351 engine, stroked to a 392....what a great thump and sound, old school power, 430 HP and 430 lbs ft of tourqe(approx.$10,000.00). When I say new, it has been cranked and idled only a few times, never driven on the road with this engine, absolutely never put to any kind of test. Also included is the original engine(value?several hundred dollars). The car has a T10 4 speed trans and a 9" rear, a Hurst Compitition Plus shifter, new Centerforce clutch, new custom Griffith aluminum radiator, new Hooker Compitition headers($3100.00), new windshield and rear glass($500.00). There is a new exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers and sounds amazing($650.00). The front brakes have been upgraded to disc, new brake lines front to rear($400.00). There is also a Dual Line Holley Compitition Carb with a Holley electric fuel system installed along with a new gas tank($1575.00).. The front suspension is rebuilt with new shocks all around($300.00). The Goodyear Eagle tires have very few miles as well with a lot of tread life left($250.00). The Magnum 500 wheels are real, not repos( price?). Under the hood is finished, as well as the trunk. The doors inside and the door jambs are also painted. The carpet , seats, dash pad, headliner, door panels, kick panels, sunvisors, arm rest, sill plates are all new and installed with the exception of the arm rest($1500.00). The body trim, window regulators, bumpers, rocker trim, weather stripping, headlight buckets and parts, some trim screws, and a collection of other bolts and screws are included. The factory numbers are still stamped in the fenders and quaters. The fender tag shows the car is a factory V8, 4 speed car. This is a great car to finish, will be a easy finish ,will make a great car. This is a $10,000.00 engine from Ford Motorsport and is new. It has aluminum heads with SVO stamped in them as well as SVO stamped in the block. This is a running, driving , stopping car. Ths shifter needs a fine adjusting and the speedometer needs hooking up. The gauges work, temp and oil pressure and lights up with the lights on, lighter still works. With all of the parts and engine so far around $16,300.00 has been invested and this does not include the value of the car its self or labor. Good luck bidding and what a great and easy project to finish. This car is NOT A BASKET CASE, solid floorboards as shown in pictures, cowl has no rust, around the front and back glass looks excellent, no rust, shock towers are excellent ,no rust, battery tray area is excellent, no rust , fender wells are excellent, no rust. What I am saying is this is an excellent car to finish and excellent to own. It is not one that you would have to sell when completed, it would be a keeper.........Please bid accordingly....thanks I stopped the sale and relisted because I had the hp rated at 450...... after researching a little further, I found out that the hp rating is 430 as quoted by Ford MotorSport. Sorry for the inconveince. I still have not found the side glass and as I said before, with this engine, there will have to be a different air cleaner, hood, or hood scoop, an easy fix....thanks
