Vehicle Detail
It's back due to an incomplete transaction. 3 day listing, serious inquiries only please. Thank you. This is a very special and rare vehichle which has been kept mostly original with a few modifications that will be described in detail. The Basics: 1987 Chrysler Conquest TSi 2.6L 4 cyl turbocharged engine with stock intercooler. Rear wheel drive. Posi 48k ORIGINAL MILES, I'm second owner, garage kept by both. Atlantic Blue metallic exterior paint, only used in 87, and very few manuals got it. Black leather interior. Mint condiiton. Original stereo, new rear speakers, no rookie hack jobs to the interior at all. Carpeting is also mint, in car and trunk area. PA insp. good thru 10/2012. New Stuff: From the ground up: 1) New bridgestone tires all around at 46k 2) Bought SHP wheels (8" up front 9" in back) and had them powdercoated gold. Painted the center caps black. They are gorgeous! 3) New rotors, pads, and stainless steel brake lines all around. Also had calipers painted black. 4) D2 suspension at all 4 corners installed professionally at R/T tuning in Landsdale, PA with all fenders rolled and the ride height dropped to give it a sick track ready look! (They also did the brakes) 5) Fidanza flywheel and exedy clutch installed, half the weight of the stock stuff, made it feel like a whole new car! Done at 45k. 6) New slave cylinder at 43k 7) New alternator at 43K 8) Daniel Stern headlight upgrade. Low and high beams were weak compared to today's cars, incredible difference in the night driving experience. 9) K&N filter at 43k Needs: 1) Tape player actually worked when I got the car! Stopped since then, I would update the radio if I were keeping it 2) Shown pic of the hood damage, got it that way never got around to fixing it. 3) There are various dings and scratches if you get real close to the car, and the old chip guards are peeling which is a common issue with quests/starions. Put a new paint job on it and it is an immediate show car. 4) Various seeping areas around the trans tunnel/heads, nothing I would classify as a leak, but full disclosure warrants mentioning it. Runs cool, oil pressure perfect, volts perfect. BIN is $6900. Way more than that has been spent obviously, but with the mileage it is a fair price. I am willing to ship anywhere in the country and have access to a shipper if you need one with resonable rates. This is my 3rd Conquest, had an 85 flatty, and an 86 back in the early 90's. There are various sites dedicated to the owners and they have been a tremendous source of help in the process of making this car the great vehicle it is today! 26liter.us and starquestclub.com are the two that I frequented. Very good people that will answer any question you could possibly have about the cars. I only used it on the weekends but am confident to say it could be a daily driver for someone. Or, take it road racing at a proper facility on the weekends! If your considering bidding, this is probably not your first Starquest, know that it brought back some great memories for me and was worth every penny. Windows are tinted at 20% not too dark so you won't be ticketed but dark enough to look great! Also painted the grill and turn signal holders black. And the fog light lenses have been painted with metallic yellow to mimic an amber lens, they look great at night. Front spoiler has a split on the drivers side but it is taped and not very noticable. Car was in an accident in early 90's, front right corner. Have original accident report, was hit by a 90 Berretta after the berretta had already hit a Suburban in an intersection. Not severe as you can see by thereport. Also have the body shop reciept for all the work done. Title IS CLEAN!!!!! Car had been sitting for years in a garage in Wisconsin, one year when they went to re-register the car a 36,000 mile statement was typed into the computer as 86,00 by accident. I have a letter from the Wisconsin DOT apologizing for the mistake and admitting fault for typing in the wrong number. However, once the toothpaste is out of the tube.... Hence, the title is CLEAN and in my hand. Now a PA Title. I also have all the shop manuals (invaluable tools) and some conquest brochures as well. Chilton manual also. Please feel free to email me with any other questions!! SPRING IS HERE!!!!!! All paperwork since new is included with the car, as are all of the reciepts for the work I have done. Suspension $2500,, Brakes $1500, Flywheel/clutch$800, wheels and tires $1500, etc., etc. Original manual included as well.
