Here we have a 1993 Geo that runs good. It gets an average of 47 mpg for me when I run on the freeway and 42 in the city. I wouldn't hesitate to drive this anywhere. It does need to have the dipstick gasket replaced so it does use oil that way. It also needs valve seals so it smokes at startup. The tires are in great shape. Time to get a fuel saver before we get to $5.00 a gallon. then you can laugh at the suv drivers as they put $120 in the tank and you get by with 35.
