1993 Toyota Pickup 4X4 Automatic OK daily driver, good work truck, perfect farm truck. I have had this truck for about 5 years, and it has served me well. Formerly living in the country, I am now living in NYC and have far less use for it than I could have imagined. Just the facts: Important: I am not a mechanic or a lawyer; I am a layman describing this vehicle as best I can, with complete honesty. If I overlook something, or flat out miss it, I will do my best to rectify it. But please ask any questions before bidding. I do not wish to waste my time or yours. The winning bid will be “as is” so I encourage any questions and I can arrange to have it available for inspection on request. Since I have owned this truck I have tried to keep up on the maintenance with the plan of running it forever. It is mechanically solid. As thing wore out they were replaced, including the engine. It is currently registered in NJ, with current 12/2012 inspection. In all honesty, I don’t know how much longer it will pass NJ emissions. 7/07 162k Monroe shocks, drive belts, o2 sensor, Major tune up 6/08 179k Replaced windshield washer pump, replace front rotors, and replace front breaks 12/08 189k Pep Boys Battery 1/09 190k Replace Front exhaust, and everything behind Cat 2/9 ?k Replace steering relay rod (recall) 9/09 202k Replace exhaust Manifold 2/10 206k Replace front breaks, front calibers, break line, 2 universal joints in rear drive shaft 5/10 208k Replaced motor – 22R engine 67k 7/10 210k Transmission Flush, Replace LR break drum Still in need of repair – After the engine change the speed sensor failed, so engine mileage is estimated to be around 75k (230k on frame); The right tail light is cracked and taped; the gate handle is broken but the gate can be open by manually pulling rods; body has minor rust for a truck of it’s age, but nothing that cant be easily repaired; and the radio has only one working speaker. Purchase price includes and extra set of rims and tires. These rims for some reason did not mesh well on this truck on the highway and required frequent tightening of the lug nuts. There is still a lot of life on these oversized tires, but I was not comfortable keeping them on when I was doing a lot of high speed travel. Since the engine change - use has been limited a few thousand miles a year – mostly local with a tip to NYC about once a month. But it has been exercised on a weekly basis. I have had no worries or problems either locally or driving to/through NYC.Prior to the speed sensor failure it consistantly got approximately 18 MPG.
