Ok Goldwing lovers.... here is an unusual tale for you. We just traded this Wing in here at Triumph of Windber. Back in 1997, her previous owner Jack bought this bike as a reconstructed title bike with ideas of turning it into a trike. Jack gathered parts for it over the next few years, with visions of designing his own trike mods using a front wheel design similar to a Can Am Spyder. After four years, having not gotten anywhere other than having gathered some used body pieces for the back (looks like it may have had a rear ending at one point?) Jack decided he was out of time. Out of time? Jack is 90 years old!! I can tell you with certainty, Jack could have completed this bike as he is an exceptionally bright man. However, I think Jack and his son realized that Jack wants to ride NOW. So.... Jack traded it in on a new Can Am Spyder!!! This is an absolutely true story!!! Jack could not ride this bike as a two wheeler as it was waaay too big for him, but he'll have a great time on his new three wheeled ride. As for the bike, it is in the exact condition we received it, and we have no intention of doing anything but reselling it AS IS. AS such, here's what we found after looking it over good and riding her about 5 miles. What works,: guages, air ride suspension,cruise control, radio, CB, horn, trim lights, bags, steering, reverse, transmission, engine (very, very quiet, mooth, perfect) front brakes, etc... What doesn't work very well: rear brakes, driving lights. The body has some miscolored parts and it looks like a trim piece is missing below the rear trunk. Also, it looks like a trim piece is missing around the handlebars. Buy those pieces, maybe paint it up, get the rear brakes working correctly (and with the right parts) and you are good to go with a great running Wing. Or, take it to a professional and have it triked. Either way, it is here today and ready to go! Yes, you could ride it home, if you can ride with very little rear brakes.
