This Bus is being re listed because winning bidder from NYC is a no show. PLEASE DO NOT BID ON THIS BUS if your not able to pay for it. If you have 0 or recent negative feed back please contact me before bidding. Thank you! This is one gorgeous Westfalia. BY FAR the straightest and driest bus I have ever seen! I have not found any rust on this bus! The body panels are as clean and straight as I have ever seen and I have owned many of these over the years. All doors open and close nicely with out issues, all body lines look perfect. The paint is a beautiful retro metallic green that Ford uses on the mustang, it is 2 stage paint with a beautiful clear coat over it. The Bumpers are brand new chrome and look incredible! The interior was just re-upholstered by Quality Auto upholstery in Ventura and it looks amazing! The ceiling panels are original and still in beautiful condition. The floor was replaced with a beautiful piece of birch that was then stained and finished with 3 coats of clear for durability. The original Westfalia cabinets are in great shape and look great with the new upholstery. The canvas pop top tent was just replaced with new canvas and all pop top and roof rack seals where replaced. The tires have tons of tread and it has all new soft brake lines for a good safe feel on the road. The 2.0 engine has approximately 20,000 miles on it since rebuilt and does not drip a drop of oil on to the ground. This engine is such a huge upgrade from the old 1600 vw motors in previous years, you can actual get up to freeway speeds quickly and keep up with today's traffic. The bus has a great over all feel while driving down the road, the brakes stop smoothly, the steering feels good, it shifts easily through all gears, the engine is surprisingly quiet at highway speeds and it has a nice little cd player for tunes. I have the child cot for over the front seats and also the original mosquito net for the back hatch that is in "like new" condition. This bus has spent it's life in the Sacramento area and has remained incredibly dry and preserved . If your looking for a great bus to enjoy and not worry about rust eating away your investment, this is the bus for you!!!! There is a small chip in the white paint just below slider door window and a small rip in the new canvas top on the driver side, both of these can be seen in pictures. This is a beautiful old bus that is in amazing condition and is sure to bring years of enjoyment to it's new owner but please understand, before bidding, that this is a antique vehicle and not a perfect brand new car. The reserve is set well below asking prices of lessor wesfalias. You will not be disappointed!!!
