NO PAPERWORK ISSUES ON THIS TRUCK !!!! Here are the #s Model # CE10904 ( C= Conventional cab, E= 8cyl, 1= GVW, 09= Cab to axle or "long wheel base", 04= stepside ) VIN # CE148S154205 ( C=Conventional cab, E= 8cyl,1= GVW, 4 = WB, 8= 1968 "year", S= St Louis Mo. plant,154205= the order in which it was mfg Engine 307 V8 - Motor code V011OWE ( V= Flint Mich. 01= January, 10= 10th. ( The original lenses were saved and will go with the truck ). New bulbs as necessary, including new halogen head lights, licence plate light, etc.. It has all new brakes, Shoes - All 4 drums - All new springs, clips, and adjusters - e-brake hardware and rear e-brake cable - All new rubber brake lines front and rear. - rear metal brake lines. $900.00 worth of brake work. It had a burnt exaust valve on #4 so I tore the motor down to the block. The block crank pistons etc were fine. I had the heads vatted, and checked for cracks and warp. They were fine. I had the valves ground and the bad one replaced and new seals installed. The machine shop said the guides and springs were fine. Installed all new lifters. The head casting #s are 391103 and 3911032, cast for 68 and 69 307 only so I'm sure they are original. Everything from the block up is new or rebuilt. Distributer is still points type, It has new points, condensor, cap and rotor, plugs and wires, hoses, belt, vacume lines, carb kit in original eqpt carb. Fresh oil, filter, air filter, PCV valve etc... 100 miles on 4 brand new tires, (correct size so spedo works right). New heater core and heater hoses. The headlight switch worked but was very tight. I installed a new one. The original choke cable broke when I took it off to rebuild the carb. It has an after market choke cable on it. The steering was a little loose, I replaced all the tie rod ends and idler arm. The steering arm was tight. Adjusted the box 3/4 turn. Steering is great. Runs straight down the road, no pulling. HAVE RECIEPTS FOR ALL NEW PARTS The truck runs like a sewing machine, rides good and handles well. Transmission is strong. NO SMOKE OF ANY KIND !!! All the glass is good, no cracks, chips, or scratches. The tail pipe and muffler are recently replaced OEM type single exaust and tail pipe is clean. No tell tail soot. NO OIL BURNING !!! The exaust is good. Has optional HD springs to go with the rear coil springs and trailing arm suspension. It's ready to drive daily while you work on it if you want. This truck needs work, but it's a great opportunity to make it what you want it to be, from an easy restore to a great custom. Offered for auction where is as is and with no warranty. Buyer is responsible for shipping or pick up. Thanks for looking and good luck Jim
