Super Nice CJ7, Thoroughly Rebuild!, 30K MILES! 4X4! Here’s a sharp looking, like new CJ7 that has been meticulously redone. Special attention was placed into several aspects of this rebuild! This CJ used to belong to the Dallas Zoo. It had very low miles and was in solid shape when I bought it. Since this was to be a personal use vehicle, I went “all out” on it. The CJ was completely disassembled; body, suspension, axles, chassis, harnesses, motor, tranny… you name it! Starting with the engine, I decided on a complete rebuild. Extra effort was placed into keeping this CJ as original and stock as possible, so no “hot rodding” engine work was done. I didn’t want a single leak anywhere, so I had every single seal and gasket on the powertrain replaced, regardless if they needed to be replaced or not. Time causes rubber to get brittle, so I had the vacuum lines, fuel lines, brake lines, hoses, and belts replaced too. If anything was suspect, it got replaced! The complete drivetrain, suspension, body, and electrical systems were worked on. The suspension received new leaf spring bushings, shackles, and bolts. Brakes were also covered: new calipers, cylinders, pads, lines, etc. The fuel tank was also replaced with an original CJ design fuel tank. Below is an extensive list of all the NEW parts that were installed on this Jeep… not including the seemingly endless labor hours that were put into it! The engine, with less than 500 miles on it, cranks right up and idles smoothly. It accelerates quickly, all the gears engage and shift nicely, and the suspension feels noticeably snug and straight. The steering is straight and the braking is strong and even. The gauges, the speedometer, odometer, and lamps are all functional. The tires have less than 100 miles on them (the inside lettering on the tires is still blue!). The only variations from the stock concept are the color of the CJ, the bumpers, and some lighting. I chose a Land Rover green, in OEM quality for the paint. The complete body was painted in this color. Since it was fully disassembled, it was no problem reaching every nook and cranny of the hood, tub, fenders, etc. Since the rear taillights are susceptible to breaking, I had LED lamps integrated into the body. The reverse lamps are integrated into the rear bumper. The front headlights are HID, which are worlds better than sealed beam or halogen. Driving this Jeep is a blast (especially if you flip down the windshield!!!). It rides and feels like new! Shifting is exceptionally smooth, the acceleration is even at all speeds, and the suspension is very snug. Cruising around in this Jeep makes any afternoon memorable! This is the type of Jeep that can last you for generations! Hand it down to your son and grandson! It was not intended for resale, so no real consideration was given to the cost of this rebuild. However, now, with a new member in the family, we no longer fit! This is the only reason it is being sold! A very reasonable price has been put on it. This price does not cover what I have invested on it, but I am aware that it is very difficult to recoup the costs of this type of rebuild. You are getting a Jeep that cost a lot more to rebuild than what the “Buy It Now” price is! Feel free to contact me for any questions you may have about the Jeep. I will answer your questions thoroughly. I can also arrange 100% insured shipping to any part of the U.S., Canada, or a port here in the states.
