Vehicle Detail
I purchased this van for it's All Wheel Drive to go camping, ice fishing and for pulling the snowmobiles etc... in July 2011. I just purchased a nice pickup that can do more hauling. I now have 5 cars and 1 has to go. I checked over this vehicle as best as possible when I purchased it. All fluids are good, all lights are good. Rear brakes have about 15,000 miles left and front brakes about the same. Flexible lines on calipers have been checked and are in good condition. Fan belt was replaced along with the starter and steering/drag link. All front end parts are good. CV joints in good condition. Exhaust is good and all 4 tires including the spare are in decent condition and have some weather checking (photo of tires added). Battery is less than three years old. Numerous dings dents and scuffs in the paint from it's age. I tried to take pictures of those areas. Interior is somewhat dirty with carpet stains etc... Previous owner wasn't very tidy or clean.Trailer hitch was reimbursed with steel. Transmission has been rebuilt including the torque converter at 174,000 miles Known issues: The door lock switch on the drivers door is inoperative. Sealed stone chip in windshield. The CD player does not always like to play copied cd's and spits them out. Right front manual door lock is chipped. Passenger side mirror is cracked. Anti lock brakes are inoperative from previous owner. This does not affect normal braking. Knob missing from drivers electronic seat adjustment, however switch still works. Bulb for electric mirror switch burned out. Rust spots on fuel door and behind left rear tire. Coolant and windshield water bottle were epoxied and one broke away (picture included). Both still hold fluid. Van could use a set of wipers including the rear one. Also could use a set of spark plug wires. If you go through a car wash and get the under body spray it gets the plug wires wet and then van will chug a little bit. Once you leave the car wash and go down the road it goes away. Previous owner stated the the bumper was pushed up in front and you might be able to see that from the pictures. The previous owner hooked a wire to pull up the fan shroud as he said it was getting too close the blades. This is everything that I can think of at the moment. I would encourage anyone interested to stop and look at the vehicle before bidding so they are satisfied with the vehicle. I am using this van as a daily driver so the miles will keep going up. I reserve the right to cancel the auction because I am selling the van locally. No personal checks. Email any questions. Van must be picked up within 5 days of sale auction.ThanksOn Feb-25-12 at 05:37:00 PST, seller added the following information: Air conditioning and cruise control work excellent. Slight brake pulsation. All u-joints are in good condition. Truck has air shocks but they leak down after a while. Email with any questions. On Feb-26-12 at 07:21:05 PST, seller added the following information: I have answered several questions in emails and thought I would post the additional information here also: Answer: Vehicle runs good. No engine knocks or rattles. Always starts right up. Left it sit for 2 weeks in the winter and it started right up (it was below zero). Spark plugs are in good condition. Plug wires could be changed if wanted. I don't believe they where bad enough to warrant change. I only mentioned them because I am selling on line and trying to disclose as much as possible about the vehicle so no one is disappointed at pick up. There is no engine light coming on except for prove out during start up which is normal. Engine uses maybe 1/4 to 1/2 court between oil changes. More so when used for extensive highway trips. Not a smoker or nothing that I would consider as a major oil user. Answer: Brakes are in excellent condition except for a little pulsating when braking which would be the rear rotors. Most of the time it is not noticeable, however since I am selling online I am trying to disclose everything I can think of so no one has any surprises. They both have another 15,000 miles left on them no problem. I have to much stuff going on or I would take pictures and send. If you show up to buy I will take off 1 front and 1 rear tire to prove that. Vehicle stops excellent. All front end parts are good. Ball joints are good and all steering linkages are good. I replaced the drag link last summer it was the only bad part. The air bags are ok. The air shocks work just fine they just loose air after a while which is common. Plenty of room in the suspension and no rubbing or problems when they are not aired up. The only thing they do is lift the suspension for heavy hauling.Vehicle would be excellent for hauling many people or going to the hardware store. Answer: To be honest, I bought this vehicle as a ice fishing beater. My family ended up loving it. We put some time and money into it. The rear carrier in the transmission went out after buying it and I found a rebuilder in Stockbridge to rebuild it. I have a little over $2,500.00 invested in the van and doubt I will recoup the whole cost.I would trust it to go to Mosinee no problem. With the higher mileage I always carry my AAA card and cellphone. We would generally not take the van out of state as we have a choice on using newer vehicles to do that (better gas mileage). To be honest I wouldn't sell it if I didn't have to. We would keep it for camping. I live in the city and have no more room to park anything. With 5 vehicles, 1 motorcycle and two snowmobiles there just isn't any room. Plus that just the insurance and registration on everything can make a guy broke. As far as my reliability on the vehicle last summer we took a vacation from Neenah to two rivers, sister bay and then mountain before heading home. The van ran real good. I then took another run up to sister bay for fall fest with the van. I will definitely miss the van when it's gone, especially for camping.Besides 1 meeting tomorrow afternoon I can be around most of the weekend for you to take a look if interested. I want to make sure you are happy with what you are buying.
