This is an original 1972 Pontiac Firebird Formula, not a clone, an actual U-VIN # formula. The car was originally sunlight yellow. It was an original turbo 350 car. The engine and transmission have been upgraded to a completely re-built Pontiac 400 with a Pontiac Turbo 400. The car has the original factory fiberglass dual snorkel scoop hood. It has factory rally II wheels with almost new tires. The body on this car is nice and straight. It has all the chrome and emblems on it. The car has deluxe black interior in good shape. The car does have a clear Oregon title with no brands, title is currently in my name. The car is primered grey and with a little body prep work is ready for paint. This car runs and drives well. The car has good glass, no cracks. This car runs great and is dependable. It has no leaks of any kind, no brake, coolant, oil, transmission or engine, or power steering leaks at all. All the lights work. It handles nice and is easy and fun to drive. This car has the factory 1 1/8" front sway bar and 5/8" rear sway bar. The car has power brakes. It has the factory complete set of original 14x7" rally II wheels complete with all the rings and caps. The brakes work very well, even the E-brake. Brakes don’t pull when stopping. The pads and shoes are recently new. Rear end is an open dif. The engine is a great running 1978 W72 option 400 4 barrel engine out of a 1978 Trans Am special edition, WC code with 7J2 heads. Engine has great oil pressure, 60psi and stays cool and does not over-heat, runs right at 180 degrees. The engine has been completely rebuilt, bored 30 over, has TRW forged pistons, balanced rotating assembly, new clevitte 77 bearings, melling oil pump, new cam shaft and lifters (gives engine a nice lopey sound), High Energy Ignition distributor, quadrajet 4 barrel carburetor, cast iron exhaust manifolds with dual flow master exhaust, chrome 14” air cleaner, all new gaskets and seals in engine, accel 8.8 MM spark plug wires, and autolite spark plugs. Engine has about 15,000 miles. Engine will run well on premium pump gas and does not require any extra octane booster. The transmission is a turbo 400 with around 50,000 miles since it was rebuilt. Transmission shifts well, no slipping. The car comes with a 5th rally II wheel and tire for a spare. Also comes with a working jack and lug wrench. The car has dual flow master exhaust, sounds really nice. The engine starts easy and runs well and has lots of power. The interior is black and in good condition. The seats are worn and need to be re-upholstered, the front currently has seat covers on them. The carpet is in ok condition, could use some new carpet. The headliner has some tears in it and a hole and will need to be replaced. The door panels, center console and plastic panels inside are in good shape. The dash looks nice but it does have a couple small cracks in it by the pull handle. The car has working full instrument gauges 160mph speedometer, the factory 8000 RPM tachometer works, volt gauge works, fuel gauge works, all the dash lights work. The clock does not work. The oil pressure and water temperature are hooked up to after market gauges located in the center of the dash over the radio opening. Radio opening has not been cut or modified so a factory radio will still fit in just fine. It has a very nice wood grain dash bezel with matching steering wheel. This car is a factory air conditioning car. The air conditioning compressor and radiator have been removed years ago. The heater works well on all speeds, the temperature switch works well, but does not switch well from defrost to heater. All of the lights work including the reverse lights. The head lights (on high and low beam), brake lights, park lights, and the turn lights, hazard lights, dash lights, dome lights all work well. The horn does not work. The windshield wipers work well on both speeds and are the hideaway style wipers. This car does need all new door seals and trunk seals and weather stripping. The floor pans are not rusted, the rear quarters and valance are not rusted, no rust on top, no rust on bottom of doors or fenders, no rust around windows of the car. The trunk lid is not rusted. The trunk pan has had the lower section replaced and welded in and refinished. The car is not rusted out anywhere. The only bondo spots on the car are a small spot around the driver side rear marker light, bottom of passenger side door, and front part of passenger side front fender. The body on this car is in great shape. This car looks great and runs well. It is very hard to find a firebird formula in this nice of shape.
