Vehicle Detail
Rare 4 door 1963 Chevy Impala without door post! Engine - 327Transmission - 2 Speed Power glide This is a rare car. Not that you can't find them, but generally it's either a 2 door or it's the 4 door with the posts. This car makes a great summer cruiser with its front and back windows rolled down and enjoying a completely open window from the front window post to the back! That and a snappy 327 with a 2 speed power glide trans make for a fun evening around the town. I got this car with the intent to restore it myself. I thought it would be a good car to restore because of its solid body. It has a little rust hole on each rocker and a little started on the bottom of the fender, but by no means does it need new body panels just a little patch work. I was told when I got it that it was sanded down and primed in gray primer. For fun, I added black base coat to the lower half of the car to give it a rat rod look until I was ready to restore it. The sun is starting to wear through the primer so it needs someone who wants to restore her. Since getting this car, I have acquired an old truck and am opting to restore it instead of the Impala. This car has 17 inch custom aluminum wheels with low profile full tread tires. It has all of its chrome moldings and emblems. It has a new grill. Someone has put a fuel cell in it. I have not put the car on a lift to inspect the bottom for rust, but it feels solid on the inside. I have laid on the ground to look under it and saw no problems. The interior is in fair condition. It is sun faded and has no head liner. The front driver side seat has a tear, but the back seat is in good condition. This car runs great. It has a lot of get up and go for its weight. It had electrical problems which I thought would need a new wiring kit to fix. My mechanic said it was an easy fix and has since fixed it. So this car also comes with a wiring kit which would be a good idea to install if someone is planning on restoring it. If you have any questions, feel free to email me and I will get back with you in a timely manner. Thanks for looking and happy bidding.
