Vehicle Detail

1954 Ford Customline 4 door Sedan. Was taken apart in 1980 and left to sit in a garage until 2006 when my father and I got it. It is all numbers matching with the original EBU 239 overhead valve engine. Rebuilt with new bearings, and rings after being hot tanked and cleaned out. Heads have new valves and seats to use unleaded fuel. Transmission is a 3 speed manual on the column with overdrive with new clutch and pressure plate. ALL of the interior is original except carpet. It had 2 sets of seat covers on the front and back when we got it. The brakes have all been replaced in 2006 and the addition of disc brakes up front in early 2011. Gas tank and lines also cleaned out in 2006. After it was running and back topgether, Dad decided he wanted it painted. In early 2007, it was taken apart and painted the original Sea Haze Green. No rust. Not even in the trunk. The frame in the front where alot of them rot is also still in great shape. I believe because it was parked inside out of the weather since 1980. It hasn't been driven hardly at all the last two summers, and that is why it is for sale. No since in it collecting dust. Dad doesn't drive it since he got his Vette and I'm more into hot rods. It does have a pull to the right, so it may need an alignment. Also may need carburator rebuilt. Have to keep the choke on slightly to drive it. And the bias ply silvertown tires are flat spotted from sitting. May round out after they are warmed up. Vehicle is located approx. 45 min. east of St. Louis, MO. Pickup only. No shipping. Any questions, email me. Thanks and good luck! On Feb-21-12 at 16:38:30 PST, seller added the following information: Forgot to mention.... The overdrive will work sometimes and sometimes it won't, It has the new kickdown switch under the accelerator pedal and the wiring from it to the relay and to the solenoid and governor. Also, I still have the original front drum brakes and spindles if anyone wanted to return it back to stock. Also have a spare EBU block and rebuilt heads from another 54 for a spare along with some other misc.spare parts.
