Vehicle Detail

2005 Volkswagen Passat Wagon GLS TDI. 121,000 miles. Vehicle has accident damage which I will mention further down. Mechanical Vehicle runs and drives as it should. Engine has had all of the recommended upgrades done for a BHW diesel engine at 64,000 miles. These upgrades include: Steel glow plug upgrade Gear driven balance shaft module Rocketchip tuning Alternator pulley upgrade Mechanically the vehicle needs nothing and runs and drives as it should. 41mpg on the highway was average. 32-35mpg in town depending on the driver. 2 tires were recently replaced, the other 2 are still in good shape. Transmission was recently serviced with new fluid and a filter. Interior The interior is in very good shape and shows little signs of wear and tear or use. All electrics work as they should and the interior needs nothing. Has VW Monster Mat floor mats for the front and rear seats. Could use a good cleaning, but overall is in good shape. Exterior Vehicle has no rust anywhere and aside from the accident damage I will list, the body is in very good shape. In October the vehicle ran off the road into a ditch where it struck a sign on a wooden post (damaged hood, mirror, windshield, A-pillar and front bumper/air dam) and then ran up a dirt berm (damaged rear axle, front bumper, air dam, and side plastic trim) and came to a stop. Vehicle currently runs and drives, no fluids leaked out, no damage to the engine or transmission was noticed or seen when it was inspected. There is an audible boost leak on the drivers side of the vehicle which is either intercooler piping, a bad seal on an intercooler pipe, or the intercooler itself. The pictures I have listed show each of these areas and the damage as best as I could get it to show in pictures. All of the front end parts that are not shown in the pictures are with the car, and were taken off for inspection purposes. Some of them may or may not be able to be used. All 4 doors and the hatch still shut with no problems, none of the glass (aside from the windshield) is damaged, no rust anywhere, paint is in good shape, etc. 2 body shops and a State Farm insurance adjuster have all looked at the vehicle and say that it is an easy fix. Prior to the accident I was planning on getting a new vehicle, so this accident just sped up the process. Accident did not involve any other vehicles. Vehicle is being sold as-is, with no guarantees or warranties of any kind. Vehicle has a clear title. Buyers are encouraged to come inspect the vehicle before bidding. Vehicle is located in Decatur IL 62521, and I can be reached at anytime with questions at 309-208-5537. If you have less then 5 feedback, please contact me before bidding. Delivery available depending on location, please contact me for more information. On Feb-17-12 at 10:11:02 PST, seller added the following information: Complete timing belt kit was installed along with the gear drive balance shaft module at 64,000 miles. It was an OEM 100,000 mile kit which included the timing belt, idlers, tensioner and water pump.
