Here for sale is a very rare and desirable 1970 AMX 390 Go Pack 4 speed with the Shadow Mask package, the original color is lime gold metallic that was repainted burgandy in the late 1970's. This AMX has 98,000 original miles on it. The 390 runs, shifts and drives very well. This car is complete and all original except the distributor and air cleaner snorkel. They made just over 250 cars with the shadow mask option. This AMX has all of the high performance options that were offered in 1970. 1970 is the lowest production of the 3 year run (Total production in '70 was a mere 4,116). I have 16 pages of documentation with this car, including cancelled checks for the deposit and the down payment, hand written dealer invoice, printed dealer invoice, window sticker, warranty card and booklet, letter from the dealer to the new owner, dealer service paperwork, a hand written ledger of the maintenance records, etc. The lower rear quarter replacement panels have been professionally installed along with the two thumb size repairs that were needed on the floor. This car is now rust free and all repairs are in primer which would make an easy driver quality restoration or a frame off. The drive train is completely original and numbers matching. This car in restored condition with this kind of documentation, would easily fetch 35K or more. One sold on Ebay just 2 months ago with the same options on a 7 day auction for 30K in 3 days. It was a nicely restored AMX with the same options and had a warranty booklet and card but not nearly as documented as my car. We all know, when it comes time to pay the piper, the big boys dig deep for heavily documented, high option, low production cars such as this AMX. That makes this a grade A quality investment that in time, will only go up in value. How many hundreds of thousands of Mustangs and Camaros did they make? Compare that to only 4,116. Not to mention the fact that it is the only 2 seater muscle car ever built! These rare and low production AMX's are finally finding their way to the top of the hit list of muscle cars.
