"Very Nice Classic" 1972 Ford LTD Rance Wagon Custom 500, 8 Occupants-3 on front seat-3 on rear seat and 2 in side facing rear seats, 2 Barrel Carb 351ci Winsor V8, 3 speed Automatic Transmission, Mostly Original except for Front Seat I think passenger sideview is non original a well, but not sure. I made a trade with a friend of mine about 2 months ago. He wanted a smaller car for his son, so we made a deal. The information he gave me was that the miles are correct of 62,470. The car was in Indiana and Tennessee before he brought it to Florida. The car had a repaint some time in the 90's and that he caused the dent in the rear door when he bumped his truck bumper at home, (see picture). The rear glass was not affected, it is electric and goes up and down correctly. The door handle works correctly and the door lock works, but sometimes you need to jiggle it to lock or unlock. I did remove the interior door panel and saw that the c-clip that holds the lock in place is broken from the dent and only holds half the lock so that's why it has that problem of needing to mess with it a little. I've seen a replacement door skin on ebay for $239.00 with Free shipping, buyer may find a less expensive piece. I don't know what it would cost to replace door skin. He had car stored under carport when I traded with him. Vehicle has been well maintained over the years and it shows. Clear Tennesee Certificate of Title in Hand. Mileage is 62,470. Car is located in Lehigh Acres, Florida. Thats south west FL about 2 hours south of Tampa, FL. Engine runs very good, starts right up, idles smoothly, no overheating, no misses or hesitations, no engine oil burn off, no knocking pinging,etc. Good daily driver. Transmission shifts as it should thru all gears including reverse. No abnormal noises or sounds. No slippage or banging into gear. Good condition. Tires are original style replacements in near new condition. Brakes stop as they should. Exterior paint and body are in very nice condition except for the dent mentioned earlier on rear tailgate (see picture), body is in nice condition for the year and all body panels are strait, has very minor surface rust on under carriage and some on the roof rack (see pictures). Floor pans are solid front to back. Door jams are solid on all doors. Under hood is solid. Very clean solid car. Interior is like new (see pictures). No crack, tears or leaks. As I wrote before I think front seat is not original. All windows, doors, wipers, gauges, knobs, switches, handles, lights interior and exterior, stereo, and accessories work as they should. Does Not Have Factory Air Conditioning. Heater does work. I can't think of anything else, but ask me if you need to know. I also have more picture if needed.
