Nature and time are responsible for the 100% real patina on this 1949 Chevrolet pick up truck. Discovered in Show Low Arizona with 72,000 original miles with a clear Arizona ( A title ) actual miles title , the untouched truck was professionally and meticulously taken apart and put back together: a Silverado independent front suspension, power rack and pinion steering and power disc brakes. A Chevy 350 small block engine, automatic on the column 350 turbo transmission, Chevy truck 12 bolt rear axle not only update this uniquely preserved truck with great handling and power, but also afford the efficiency and reliability of a newer truck. There's always a crowd around this 98% rot-free original inside and out patina truck. Has one small patch of rot shown in the pictures below along with the passenger side window having a crack; could use some new tires, smokes for a short time when cold, it looks like it could use some valve seals, wipers and some of the gauges are not working either. These are some small loose ends that i planned on replacing but haven't had time to. Other than that, this 49 classic daily driver has its original 49 license plate still on it, ice cold air conditioning, radio in the glove box, shortened stock steering column with power steering, power brakes, chevy truck ralley wheels with baby moons and 5 on 5 chevy lug pattern. Rides comfortable at highway speeds and a great open canvas for door art or a business prop. On Feb-08-12 at 10:00:22 PST, seller added the following information: Food for thought here are some comps that just sold last month at Barrett Jackson auction in Scottsdale Az the one 52 was rotted all over had a nice interior and wheels and brought 28,600.00. The 54 was a fake patina and had air bags, nice interior, wheels and motor and brought $66,000.00. And someone said one sold last year for 70k WOW!
