Vehicle Detail
1959 Chevrolet Impala Sport Sedan Attention all Low Rider enthusiasts! This is a wonderful time to finally include yourself in the 50's era for a nominal investment. This rare 1959 Chevrolet Impala Sports Sedan is being offered at " No Reserve". The Sports Sedans rarely come up for sale in this condition. I believe all the body parts and trim to be original to this car. All the gaps look to be just the way they did 53 years ago. The original engine is long gone, but it now carries a nicely detailed awesome running 350 engine with a 4 barrel carburator. This engine starts right up every time with the expensive Accel Spiral 8.8mm wires for maximum spark. This Chevy has relatively new hooker headers with aluminized straight pipes and nice chrome exhaust tips. This car fires up everytime and sounds very impressive! The interior has been upgraded to power leather bucket seats that both work. The matching rear leather seat has an armrest in the middle, and is very comfortable. The carpet was recently replaced, and the newer headliner looks in very nice condition. All the inside door panels, and the dashboard have all been re-finished. This car could be fully restored or can be driven as it looks in its current condition. The very hard to locate front and rear wrap around windows are both in nice condition. Both rear door windows work, but the left rear is split although still in place. The 2 front door windows will need to be replaced. The tail lights, brake lights, and turn signals all work. The horn does not work, and the speedometer cable should be replaced to work properly. The chrome is all in decent drivers quality condition or better. I can't think of anything missing. What you see in the pictures is exactly what you get. One of the many cool features on this car include both fender side view mirrors, and the dual rear antenna's. Both gangster covers over the rear wheels are in nice condition. The bumpers still appear in decent condition, and the front rubber bumper guards are both in nice condition. I saw no evidence of this car ever being involved in a collision. It is definitely a survivor car that escaped being all rusted and repaired. As you can see from the pictures the body has very little rust repair needed, and I would be comfortable saying it would be very hard to find a 53 year old car in this solid condition. The original trunk was sanded, and coated with the proper spatter spray. The trunk carries a full size spare tire with a refurbished jack. The spare tire is bolted in place as it should. The jack will be stowed behind the spare tire prior to shipment. A new gasket was recently installed around the inside of the trunk lip. The floors, trunk, and frame are all in relatively good condition. The tires are all in fairly good condition on the infamous Cragar mag wheels. I'm not trying to state that this car is anywhere near a Barrett-Jackson museum piece, but with a fresh paint job, I believe this sweet old classic can be brought back to its former glory with relative ease. This is simply a very cool car to just cruise around town, but considering how solid this body is, it really deserves to be treated to a full restoration. The Nada Classic Car Price Guide has the 1959 Chevrolet Sports Sedan listed at $23,300 in high, $13,500 in average, and $8,150 in low condition. This sweet old classic can be transformed into any of those classifications. This Chevy has incredible investment potential. Take advantage of this prime opportunity. This classic is being sold on a quick 3-day auction that will sell on Saturday afternoon to the highest bidder. My eBay user rating is very important to me, so I try to list everything I can think of when I describe a car. If there is anything that you feel I may have missed, please ask as many questions as you like. I pride myself in answering every question in specific detail with the most accurate answers. This car can be viewed by appointment. My goal is to make every buyer extremely knowledgeable and very satisfied with their purchase. The winning bidder will have the excitement of winning a 1959 Chevy while they cheer with their buddies the following day during Super Bowl Sunday. Good Luck and Happy Bidding! On Feb-02-12 at 14:48:45 PST, seller added the following information: I was notified by a potential buyer that this car may be a 4 door flat top, since it has the extention over the rear window. I just thought everyone may like to know that. I am not that familiar with 59 Chevy''s , and wherever I looked on the internet it showed this style as a Sports Sedan. I just wanted to clarify that for all of you 59 Chevy Lovers out there. Keep bidding and may the best man or woman win!
