Vehicle Detail

This car is an orignal big block car, you can tell by the rear diff and half shafts, the rear sway bar, the position of the battery, the inner fender wells, the fuel line, the core support, and a few other small details I cant remember what they were though. The 396 engine was an option for 6 months in 65 only from january of 65 to jun of 65 and the production date of this car falls right in the middle at the end of april or early may. Some of the parts are matching number but not all. The parts that are matching numbers include the cylinder heads, intake manifold, and rear diff. Its options include heat, power steering, am-fm radio, power antenna, soft ray tinted glass, and four wheel disk brakes. The block is a original 396 and looks exactly the same from the outside except the numbers on the back read 3855961 instead of 3855962 wich would make it correct. It is one digit off and the only difference is that it has hydrolic lifters instead of solid ones and ith has a two bolt main instead of a four bolt but it does have the correct heads which with a 750cfm carb should put out around 425 hp. The inside of the frame was coated with an anti rust agent called Zeebart back in 1981 back when my grandfather first got the carand is in vary good condition. I started the fram off restoration 4 years ago and painted the outside of the fram with a anti rust primer and rust tough gloss black spray cans it looked good for a while but is starting to get some surface rust of areas that were thin because of where The was previously being stored at by the ocean in florida. The frame has all new bushings installed with rebuilt calipers,a new master cyliner, brake lines, pads, roters, monrow sensatrack shocks, and springs the brakes and suspension are fully fuctional and complete. I rebuilt the moter myself with oversised pistons and rings, new crank, new rod and main bearings, had the cylinders plaind, valves grinded with hardened valve seats installed, and new valve seals I already adjusted the valves, primed the oil pump and hooked up the starter and ran a compressin check to show that the moter is good but remember that the rings are not seated yet and should go up a lot once you run the moter and break it in. The car is still in the flat black primer and I was going to leave it that way because I think it looks badass plus if the fiberglass ever gets damaged in any way you can repair ir and then repaint just that area and blend it in instead of having to repaint the whole car but I realize that whoever buys it may want to have it painted so I left the nuts off the emblems and the seals out of the windows for easy removal, but I do have brand new seals for the windows and can install them if you like. The interior matches the trim tags wich is the bright blue vinal but the paint is supossed to be nassau blue. Every single peice of meatal in this car is painted gloss black to help pevent rust including the seat frams and underneith the dash. Things you need to get and install to have the car run is fuel pump ($22 autozone), radiator ($400 ecklers), exaust manifols ($850 for the corectly dated ones from corvette america or much cheaper for some universal ones or headers), and a moter wiring harness ($160 corvette america), a transistor ignition box ($399 corvette central) and an alternator ($79 corvette central). To finish the car completly you are also going to need Side vents ($220), windsheild wiper arms ($150), wiper grill cowles, ($125 a peice 2 needed) power antenna ($220), front emblem ($52), power steering pump ($79) and brakets, heater controls and headlights and bezels($220 a peice) my name is chase and my phone number is 313 989 two two one five if you are serious about the car and have any questions that are not already listed fell free to call.
