Vehicle Detail

This is my 1971 Mercedes Benz 280SL. It has original 30,000 Miles on it! I bought this car last year and I am the registered owner of this car. This car turns heads everywhere I go! I cannot pull into a gas station without at least one person approaching me about the car! I get thumbs up every time take it out. I bought it from a Lady who had it parked for almost 9 years inside a climate controlled garage. I bought it from her and paid all the back tags on it and made it all up to date. I changed every fluid in the car including, engine oil, transmission oil, coolant, fuel, power steering fluid. I put in brand new front brake calipers, alternator and battery. The car runs like a champ. I didn’t even start the car until I changed all the fluids because I didn’t want to damage the engine. I honestly hate to sell this car, as its one of my collectors but I need the money into invest it in a start-up business venture. The Exterior of the car is in PERFECT shape. Only the front bumper is pushed in a little bit, barely but I want to disclose everything I know about the car. The paint shines throughout the body as if it just left the factory in Germany. The car has been repainted one time before, I don't know when. The left side headlight lens has a crack in it.I had the rear bumper rechromed when I bought it and it looks great. All the four tires look good along with their wheels. The convertible top is BRAND NEW, it has been on the car for maybe 90 days. I don't have the hard top for this car. When I bought it, it didn't come with it. The back window is clear as water. This car may have some minor paint chips in the front but nothing major. The left side rear quarter panel has a very minor rust in it, look at the pictures below, I took a few pictures of that sport. The car is over 40 years old, it would have some minor blemishes. The interior of the car is in great shape! All the carpets are brand new. The seats have no rips or tears in them anywhere. The springs in the seats could be replaced but don’t need to be. The wood trip could use some TLC. Everything inside the car works as it should. The only thing aftermarket in the car is the radio an speakers. Mechanically the car is sound! I would not hesitate to drive this car to San Francisco. The transmission shifts as it should and the engine is running perfect. It has Air Conditioning but I have never used it or tried it. I am sure it should work but don't know. The only mechanical attention it would need is the Power Steering pump. It is leaking a little bit. It is a VERY common problem in this series of Mercedes Benz. It is not a major repair. Unfortunately, I don't have the owner's manual or the service records for this car. Overall, the car is in great shape. It does not need much restoring to make it perfect. I honestly hate to see this car go but, I have 8 other cars and this one gets used the least.
