Vehicle Detail
FOR SALE is my 1979 Trans Am. This car has been completely redone. It started life as a 10 year Silver Anniversary but I bought it about four years ago black. This car has been three years in the making. To the ignorant eye it looks original but there’s nothing original about it. When re-doing the car I didn’t want an original car I wanted a car with integrity and a car that would drive like a modern car but with the ’79 muscular look. The original motor was completely re-done. It is the original 6.6litre 403cu. I will try to make this description as short but as detailed as possible. I will start by saying that everything on this car is new, I do mean new. What could not be bought was hand made. All receipts can be provided if wanted. Some of the new parts on the car are as follows: Year One 17”x9” Snow Flake wheels, Sumitomo 275/40R17 Tires, Wheel Caps, SSC Slotted front brakes, rear disc brakes, brake line, parking brake, master cylinder, brake booster, wheel bearings, seals, A/C, Ducts and Vents, compressor, alternator, starter and brackets, wiper blades and arms, Electronic 12psi fuel pump, water pump, Pro-Touring GT Suspension, Monroe Sensa Trac’s, Pro-Touring Steering Box, Sway Bar support rods, Sub Frame Connectors, Poly Graphite Super Kit-Poly Urethane Bushings-Mounts throughout entire car, MSD Electronic Ignition, Spark Plugs and wires, Be Cool aluminum radiator, Be Cool dual electric fans, another electric fan in front, hoses, trans cooler, intake manifold, Flow Tech Headers, true Borla Exhaust with Pypes tips, Cam timing set, oil pan differential kit, Dynamat and extra padding throughout entire car, Year One door skins with emblems, Covans Thunder Road Dash with Auto Meter gauges with wiring harness, door/trunk key cylinders, ignition cylinder, Lecarra Formula Steering Wheel with horn button emblem, door/trunk/glove/ignition lock set, door handles, Sail Panels, kick panels, weather strips, carpets, window felts, Pro-Car Scat Seats, brackets, perforated leather rear seats to match front seats, perforated vinyl/leather headliner and center console, Pioneer Stereo, Dual Pioneer Amps and Subwoofer with Pioneer 6 ½” 2 way door speakers and 6”x9”s in the trunk. It’s not a loud obnoxious stereo, it’s just a good sounding system. New Alarm, actuators, battery, NEW WINDOWS, WINDSHIELD, BACK GLASS and TRIM, strikers, fuel tank, coolant tank, windshield wiper, tank motor and hoses, LED rear lights, Updated front head lights and cans, new fender braces, floor mats, horn, signal lever, front and back seat belts. EVERYTHING IS NEW, I MEAN EVERYTHING IS NEW. Words cannot explain the number of man hours and special machine and hand made to order parts that have gone into this car. No bondo was used on this car. Pieces of the car were properly cut out and replaced. There are way too many parts to list. I have receipts that will be provided. I have all under the hood and trunk decals that have not been applied. The emblems are also new. I do not have the hood bird or exterior decals. I didn’t want to put them on. I like it simply black. It kills me to sell this car but I have too many cars and one has to go. I have well over $65, 000 in this car, realistically probably about $70, 000 in it so I will not give it away. Any fair offer will be seriously considered. Please also understand that this car is not a 100% original car. It wasn’t meant or built to be that way nor was it meant to be a $100, 000 + resto-mod super car. It’s not a perfect car and does have imperfections that I do not have the time to deal with. As mentioned above, the car does have the original 403 olds motor so it’s not a fast car (at least not in my opinion). The rear end was upgraded to the 3.73 gears for more torque. It had the 2.73 gears. There’s simply too much to list but I open questions via email. mgonz5402aol.com I will humbly ask, PLEASE DO NOT WASTE MY TIME. DO NOT BID IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE MEANS TO SATISFY YOUR BID.On Jan-23-12 at 09:21:37 PST, seller added the following information: Notice to all bidders: I am sorry for any confusion I may have caused concerning a reserve price. There is a reserve of $40,000.00 I may consider another serious offer. I also reserve the right to remove this item early due to the fact that this car is being sold locally. Thank you to those who have pointed the above out and again I am sorry for any confusion. Also, a soft indoor car cover is included as well.
