This 1953 MG-TD has been my father-in-law's since the late 60's, and now at 88 he says it's time to clean out the garage. The car was in a renovation shop in 2008 and had $9000.00+ spent on new brakes, clutch, hood painted, transmission resealed, wheel bearings replaced and other work. I will have the receipts in the next couple of days for your viewing. The car is ready to drive this Spring. I would suggest a good service prior to doing much driving, as he has only driven about 20 miles since 2008. The photos show the top, side curtains, and various shots of the car. There are some spots on the body and I have tried to show all of them. Gas tank has been removed and been coated on the inside to eliminate rusting. Over the years, wiring has been re-done mostly in blue, and a purist would want to put a new harness on the car. Tires are good and the car can be driven if you want to test it out. The car is located in Stanley, N.C. 28164( about 20 miles from Charlotte, N.C.) The car needs the following items, among other minor items. 1. The carpets are indoor/outdoor grey carpet that he has cut to fit. 2. Touch-up paint in a couple of spots. 3. Replace wiring harness if you think it needs to be correct. Things that have been done over the years. ( he had 2 -TD's and we just sold 1 several months ago) 1. Wood is in good shape. 2. Engine has been rebuilt, very low miles since done 10+ years ago. Car starts and runs fine, stops great. 3. Top was new 20 years ago, and has never seen rain. Good condition, but who drives a TD in the rain.
