Parts Truck - Not running. This 46 Ford flatbed was built into a fire engine used in the 50's at Aerojet General Corporation as their #2 Engine at the Sacramento Rocket Manufacturing Plant. It was sold to the old Mills Fire Department and then to another fire department in El Dorado County. It was last used in service by the Latrobe Fire Department where it was a "first out" engine clear up into the 1980's. It suffered a slow speed roll-over on a steep back country road and although it was driven out of the accident site it sat neglected for many years with two minor attempts to start a restore. It is now a lot of metal and memories. The photos tell the tale. If there are specific photos you want please email me. Missing carburator and radiator. The water tank/hose bed is off the chassis and can go with the truck if the buyer wants it. Front mount pump is a 250 gpm model. I know it is hard to beleive but someone actually asked if this truck runs. The answer is no. It could run again someday, but it is being sold as a non-running "parts" truck. A PayPal Deposit of $200 is required within 48 hours of auction close. The balance of the purchase payment must be cash in person. I will load and deliver this truck on my flatbed trailer to a location in the western states region for a fee based on delivery miles. Otherwise you must arrange your own loading and hauling. The pick up location is in Shingle Springs, CA - (East of Sacramento).
