This is one Gorgeous Bus ! a very clean example of a 1969 Westfalia. This bus has had the typical bus rust issues addressed with new battery tray and new front floor sections. The paint is less than a year old and looks amazing! all glass is in good shape and professionally tinted just a few months ago. All doors open and close properly with out issues, lots of new rubber seals on windows and doors,new steering wheel, new window felt on front roll up windows, new professionally made and installed vinyl and tweed upholstery by Quality auto upholstery in Ventura. All wood panels on ceiling and floor have just been recreated and installed and look better than new. The cabinets have been recovered in bamboo and give a great beach look and feel which seems most fitting for a VW bus. The canvas pop top tent was just replaced with a very nice three window tent that matches the paint nicely. I have the child cot for over front seats but do not have upper cot and the sink is missing a couple parts to be usable. The in dash CD player works great with two kenwood speakers in the doors, all lights are in working order in and out of the bus and the interior light has been upgrade to a much brighter duel bulb light that actually lights up the interior unlike the original. The tires have full tread life left on them, the brakes stop as they should without pulling to one side or the other, the steering is tight and feels good driving at all speeds, the transmission shifts easily through all gears including revers. The 1600 duel port engine was rebuilt about two years ago and runs strong with out smoking or any funny noises and starts right up with ease. This is a great turnkey bus that's ready for camping and day trips to the beach. .If your a local buyer please contact me for a viewing in person. This is a great bus and is in great overall condition, but please understand that this is a 43 year old vehicle and does not compare to a brand new van with all the creature comforts and the 100,000 mile warranty. I just want to make sure your buying what you want and are thrilled to own it! Also just to be clear, the odometer reads 48,741 but I'm sure it's probably turned over once through the years.
