Car. SUV. I’m not really sure…it’s a little like a four door version of an old El Camino – part car, part truck, part SUV. But whatever you want to call it, it’s SUPER-versatile! Please excuse the photos, we haven’t had a chance to clean it yet (but we will!!). This is exactly how it was traded in, and you can see that even though it’s a little dusty…it’s still a nice truck in good shape. The only thing I found that doesn’t work? The passenger side fog light is burned out (and there are a pair of aftermarket fog lights that look like they quit working a LONG time ago, still mounted near the tow hooks). Everything else seems to work just fine, and it drives great. The stereo works. The a/c works. Heater works. The engine runs great and doesn’t tic, smoke, or leak anything. The transmission shifts properly. The brakes work great and don’t pull to one side or the other. It’s been well taken care of, because mechanically…if it wasn’t for the odometer on the dash, I’d never have guessed it has as many miles on it as it does. And the mileage isn’t out of line…it’s ten years old now, so that works out to about 14,000 a year, or just over a thousand miles a month. Perfectly normal use. Cosmetically, there are a couple of areas where you can tell its been used. There are a couple light scratches in the hood, like someone put a box on a dirty hood or something (they’re so minor, I had a really hard time getting them to show up in the photos). There’s a nick or two here and there on the body, but no dents or rust that I could find. The wheels have some clearcoat starting to lift, but I didn’t see any bends or dings and all the tires are in great shape. And in the interior, there is a single hole in the drivers seat near your right shoulder, where a spring is wearing through. The door pull-handles (silver painted plastic) are showing some wear in the silver paint. There’s a spot on the passenger front door window where the stick-on window tint has a bubble in it. And the front console armrest has some wear on it. (I don’t count marks in the pickup bed…it’s a pickup bed, after all!). But that’s it – and all of it is strictly cosmetic. The truck does not smell like it has been smoked in; it does not smell moldy or musty; there are no bad odors at all. Everything is nice and dry. Functionally, the most obvious “issue” is the exhaust – the tailpipe is gone. The exhaust is nice and solid from the engine, through the catalytic converters, up to the muffler…but the outlet end of the muffler is where the exhaust stops. It’s not “I have a hole in my exhaust” loud…but you can tell the difference in the sound because it exits under the truck instead of behind it. Looking under the truck, it will need a new muffler and a new tailpipe to go through any kind of state inspection. There is also some surface rust on the underside of the truck, but nothing that’s going soft or has a hole in it. Just…ten years of normal use in our region, where we get treated roads in the winter. You can go look under your own car, I bet, and see pretty much the same thing. Nothing under the truck has any oil spots or wet spots on it. At all. It’s all nice and dry and as clean as can be for 140,000 miles. If it was mine, I’d take it to a car wash; hose the underside very well to clean it off; spray some rust converter primer on it; let that dry and give it all a coat of spray rubber-undercoat; and drive it for another ten years and 140,000 miles. Or…just drive it the way it is – nothing is bad right now and it’s nice and solid as it sits! Right now, we’re selling it as-is; other than a couple of minor details, it’s a great little truck. If we have it for a while…we’ll put work into it. Fix the exhaust. Maybe change the oil (it’s full, has great pressure, and even though it’s a little dark it doesn’t look “old” or “overdue”). Probably do a state inspection. All that adds up, and the price will go UP the longer we have it, not down. Right now, though, the only investment we’re going to have in it is a good cleaning (and our detail folks are GOOD, this truck will shine like new when they’re done!) – so if you get it now, you can SAVE MONEY. Winter is…well, it’s not coming, it’s HERE. It’s cold, there was ice all over my car this morning, and I’m sure snow isn’t far off. This is a great little 4x4 and it’s rated for 20mpg highway! You can use it as a commuter car; a snow vehicle; a four door passenger car; to haul ‘stuff’ around (the bed is 41”x50”); or to tow (it’s rated for 5080 lbs tow capacity, with a proper hitch). It can do it all, and it’s not a lot of money. If you’ve been looking for an inexpensive, versatile four-season vehicle – here it is! And if you like one of our campers…we can sell you a “camping kit”! Camper, tow vehicle, hitch, all of it – we can be your one-stop-camping-shop!! Take a look at the photos. If you’re close, come see it in person and take it for a drive. You’ll be impressed – this is a TON of truck, for not a lot of cash. Just in time for winter weather. Our ebay department hours are: MONDAY – FRIDAY 9am – 6pm East Coast (USA) time Here are some of our frequently asked questions: How do I bid? What does a bid mean? If you are new to eBay or have general questions about bidding, you should read eBay’s “buying basics” page: Buying Basics YOUR BID IS A CONTRACT, and it means you are prepared to pay that much for the item. Make sure you have the money available before you place the bid, please. If you bid, be prepared to win. If you win, congratulations – you just bought it, and now we expect you to pay for it. Please – have the money (or financing) ready BEFORE you bid!! What’s your reserve? WE DO NOT REVEAL OUR RESERVE PRICES. It’s an auction, that would take all the fun out of it. You are free to place a bid, or email me an offer. I will present any reasonable offer to my boss. Will you take less than the Buy It Now price? Chances are very good that IF we have a Buy It Now price on the auction…that’s the price we need to get for it. You are welcome to send in an offer (don’t just ask “how much?” – send me an OFFER), but please don’t get upset if the reply is simply “the price is the price”. We don’t pad our prices. We want to save you as much money as we can, right off the bat. Is it cheaper if I pay cash? Sorry, no it isn’t. Cash, check, or finance – the item is worth what the item is worth. We’re an established dealership, not a private seller. Cash is great for a seller who needs to have the money TODAY so they can pay other bills…but we’ve been around for over 30 years. We can wait for a check to clear if we need to. Is there a warranty? No. All of our eBay items, unless otherwise specifically noted in the listing, are sold AS-IS, WHERE-IS, with no warranties expressed or implied. What does “as-is” mean? As-is means that even though we are a dealer, sometimes we sell items without putting shop time (and MONEY) into them – no sealing, no cleaning, no fixing, no inspecting, and no guarantees. Just like if you bought it out of my driveway at home. We do it that way to SAVE YOU MONEY. We’re as honest as we can be about our items. We’re not trying to cheat anyone or “pull a fast one” – we just want to save you some cash. Look at the photos; read the ad; please, ask any questions you might have. I will get you an honest answer, as soon as I can. Are there any additional fees? eBay pricing does NOT include taxes, tags, inspection, or title fees. While we do NOT charge any “dealer processing” fees or other hidden fees, it is the BUYER’S RESPONSIBILITY to pay any applicable taxes, tag, title or inspection fees that are required by an item in addition to the winning bid, unless otherwise noted in the auction. If you’re in Maryland, I collect your taxes and tag fees when you pick up your purchase. If you’re out of state, you pay taxes & tags when you get back to your home state. Please – it is YOUR responsibility to know your state’s rules and fees before bidding. Can I get a temp tag? If you are NOT a Maryland resident, I can issue you a temp tag for $20. It is good for 60 days. Do you finance? Yes. Click here: Credit Application It is a SECURE online form. If you prefer to do the application over the phone, you may call the number below and ask for either Bill or Steve in the Finance Department. Please, don’t email me your credit score and expect an accurate answer – all we can do with that is guess. Do you take trades? Yes we do…but I need as much information about your trade as you can give me. Telling me you have a “2006 Jayco 34 foot camper” does nothing for me (or for your trade value). I need specifics. Details. Good AND bad. If you give me $5 worth of information…I have no choice but to offer you $5 for your trade. SELL it to me, make me want it! You’ll get more money that way. Where’s the item? All of our items are located at 11109 Angleberger Rd, Thurmont MD 21788. You are welcome to come see them in person during normal business hours (M-F, 9-6). Here we are on Mapquest Do you ship? NO, we do not ship. We are a dealer, not a shipper. Here is a link to U-ship; it is in every listing and you can use it to get a shipping estimate. Many of my customers have had great luck with that system. Beckley’s Camping Center has no connection whatsoever to any shipping companies. I was watching that item, where did it go? If an item disappeared “early”, chances are someone bought it. ALL of our items are for sale locally, and we reserve the right to end any auction early. If you like an item…BID ON IT. The best way to make sure it doesn’t get away is to place a bid, make an offer, or BUY IT. OK, I won. Now what? A $500 NON REFUNDABLE deposit is due within 24 hours. Paypal or credit card (Visa/Mastercard) over the phone are acceptable deposit methods. Full payment is due in 7 days. You will receive an email after you win the auction that will include more details. How can I pay the balance? Acceptable payment methods are cash; bank to bank wire transfer; or certified check. If you are paying with a check, we will hold the title for 15 business days. We have gotten counterfeit cashiers checks in the past, so now THIS IS OUR POLICY. If you want to carry the title out with you, you need to pay with cash or a wire transfer. If you live outside the USA, WIRE TRANSFER is the only acceptable form of payment. When can I pick up my purchase? APPOINTMENTS ARE REQUIRED FOR ITEM PICKUPS. We are a busy dealership and cannot accommodate “surprise” visitors, at least not if you want us to treat you right. If you don’t mind delays, confused people, getting shuffled around aimlessly, and waiting (and waiting…and waiting…) until your purchase can be dug out from behind other units that DID have scheduled appointments…by all means, surprise us. But we’d much prefer you schedule an appointment. Also please make a note of the fact that I DO NOT WORK WEEKENDS. You will need to arrange to pick your camper up during the week. OUR EBAY DEPARTMENT IS NOT OPEN ON WEEKENDS. eBay items may be picked up Monday through Friday, from 9am until 5pm (Eastern time). How do I contact you if I have questions? Email is best; click “Ask a question” above, and the message will come right to my desk, and to my Blackberry. If I have an answer for you after hours, you’ll get a reply. If I need to get to the office to get the correct answer, you will receive a reply the next business day. You can call 1-800-296-6959 during business hours if you like, but I am rarely at my desk. If I am not available when you call, LEAVE A DETAILED VOICEMAIL MESSAGE and I will call you back as soon as I can. After hours, send an email – after hours calls go to a central mailbox and don’t always get routed to me. PLEASE REMEMBER TO ASK FOR ME (JOE) BY NAME. I’m the one who researched the item for eBay; I’m the one who wrote the ad; I’m the one who took the photos; I’m the one who is best equipped to answer any questions you might have about the item. Again. eBay won't let me add a photo to the auction, but believe me - this truck looks GOOD. The wheels came up great; the interior looks like new; the paint shines; the tires are dressed - it looks amazing! I wish I could put new photos in the ad to show everyone...but hopefully you trust me enough to believe me, when I say it cleaned up REALLY NICELY. This will make a great addition to anyone's garage or driveway.
