Selling my 2001 Peugeot 206 XS, 1.6 litre 5 speed manual hatchback. Very unusual in the US; for the driver who wants something different. Car is French built, originally sold in Mexico. I bought it on eBay about 10 months ago. Has two-tone colour (yellow over silver) with black cloth interior: car top was painted in Mexico by previous owner, and is not the best paint job I have seen, bur this 206 is quite striking to look at, and makes quite an impression! Working A/C and heater, 14" alloys with almost brand new tires( 185/60R14 ), tinted windows, properly serviced ( I used to own a European car repair shop, but am retired now). I have had the A/C compressor rebuilt, installed new rear shocks, rebuilt the driveshafts and replaced the engine mounts. Timing belt, radiator front brake pads replaced by previous owner. I drive it daily, gets about 35 mpg highway, less around town of course. Great car in town, handles really well. The 206 is Peugeot's best selling car ever ( 7 million to date) . Has a US Title (Texas) and is Insured ( Farmer's Insurance) Inspected and Registered. Has scratches, small imperfections not evident in photos. I have just received the 206 from the body shop to rectify the most glaring imperfections of the Mexican yellow paint job done by the previous owner, so that the inner door jambs and inner surfaces are now properly matched to to the yellow top. The Mileage is approximate, as the odometer does not work, and when I bought the car I was told it had then about 70,000 miles. Sold in As Is. Where is condition. I just replaced the central muffler (I didn't care for the glass pack that was there) and had a nice chrome tailpipe installed as well!
