Vehicle Detail

This is a nearly SHOWROOM NEW 1979 Lincoln Town Car that has only 29,890 documented original miles on her. This is a 100% rust free car. She has been garage kept all of her life. She is currently stored in a humidity controlled museum setting. The temperature is at a constant 70 degrees. This vehicle is in exceptionally good condition for her age. This car drives and operates as new. My understanding is that this is a 2 owner car. I am selling this car for an older friend who has a collection of cars but knows nothing about computers. This car is located on the west side of Indianapolis, Indiana in an old new car dealer’s showroom turned museum. We would allow inspection to qualified buyers with a rating of 10 or more during the auction. We do not have time for tire kickers. We do have title in hand. I ALWAYS call what is wrong with my items that I sell on eBay. I call it like it is and show pictures of any issues. There are no secrets with my listings. That is why my rating is 100%. I am unaware of anything else that is wrong with the car. There is a small ding in the wheel opening molding (pictures)The paint shines and looks to be completely original. There is a super small scratch in the paint. (see close up picture) All the panels have original VIN stickers on them and it does not appear that the car was ever in an accident. The weather strip and the exterior rubber is in good shape. The rear bumper filler panel has a small crack. (see pictures) The car drives with no shakes, rattles or unusual wind noise. All lights and wiring operate properly. The tires are in good shape and have 80% life remaining. The windshield seems original and had no rock stars or cracks. The spare tire and jack are intact. The car is serviced and ready to go. Everything under hood looks correct. The belts, hoses, filters etc. look to be in good shape. The under carriage of the car is extremely clean. (pictures) Finally, this is a no reserve auction. The high bidder at auction end will be the new owner. Don’t email me and ask what I will take for the Car. Bid on it. This is an auction. Please have permission from your wife, husband, father, mother, sister, brother, partner, banker, bookie or anyone else that could halt the purchase BEFORE you bid. If you are the high bidder you have a contractual obligation to complete the purchase for the auction price. Being the high bidder does not give you the right to look at the car and see if you want to buy it. IF YOU ARE THE HIGH BIDDER YOU ARE THE NEXT OWNER. Of course if I have grossly misrepresented this car I would not expect you to buy it. Money must clear my bank and be in my account for me to release the car and the free and clear title. On Jan-07-12 at 12:25:04 PST, seller added the following information: Please note that there is a picture that was posted on this listing that is of a Eldorado Barritz interior that I am selling on another eBay listing. It shows a CB microphone hanging under the center of the dash and a Cadillac Logo on the floor mat. I made a mistake since the interiors are the same color. This Lincoln does not have a CB or Cadillac floor mats. Please disregard that picture. eBay will not let me delete it as bids have been placed. On Jan-07-12 at 13:05:52 PST, seller added the following information: Please also note that We have 2 other collector cars on ebay listed with no reserve. Item number 230727858398 and 230727769407 Check them out and bid with confidence. The last picture shows the XR7 and the Museum setting that the cars are stored in.On Jan-08-12 at 12:05:17 PST, seller added the following information: For those of you who doubt the quality of this car. It was purchased by the current owner from Mecum live Auctions in Indianapolis, IN in May of 2010. The Hammer price in front of Thousands of bidders that saw the car in person was $11,750. Add a 8% buyers fee and you are close to $13,000. Add sales tax and registration and the current owner has $14,000 in this car. Here is a link to the auction. http://www.mecum.com/auctions/lot_detail.cfm?LOT_ID=SC0510-91413 Bid with confidence. This car is a winner. On Jan-09-12 at 16:51:51 PST, seller added the following information: Several eBayer indicated that just because the car has a Cartier Clock in this car does not mean it is a Cartier edition. Therefore I have to say that the car has a Cartier clock in the dash but can not represent that the car is a Cartier edition car. Just trying to be upfront and clarify any possible discrepancy. On Jan-10-12 at 07:13:28 PST, seller added the following information: CAR VIEWING/SHOWING. If you would like to inspect this car prior to bidding you are welcome. When: This Saturday, January 14th from 11 am until noon. Where: 751 North Shadeland Avenue Indianapolis, IN (In the Church Brothers building) You can come and inspect this car and the 2 others that we are selling with no reserve. We will only be there from 11 am until Noon this Saturday. Don’t be late.
