Up for auction here is a 2006 Mazda 3 hatchback in excellent condition. This car has low miles and has been maintained very well. This is your chance to get this car at a fraction of the price of what the stealership would want. The only reason we are selling this car is because we are getting an AWD crossover. First I will start with the exterior. This vehicle does have a prior salvage title due to damage to the drivers side rear quarter panel. The panel was professionally removed and a OEM Mazda panel was put in its place. All of the work was performed professionally and looks like new. The whole car is near flawless. The paint shines even better than the day it pulled out of the factory. This car was meticulously taken care of and it definitely shows. The pictures do not do this car justice; it really needs to be seen in person to be appreciated. The color of the car is pearl white which is in my opinion the best looking color they've used. The stock wheels have been powdercoated satin black and still look great, with no blemishes. The tires are like new, with at least 85% tread remaining. The grille has been replaced with a Mazdaspeed replica that gives the front end a better, cleaner look. All of the emblems and side trim have been removed to give it more of a sleek look. Also I just replaced all the wipers with the new Contour blades. IF you are not familiar with these cars they all came factory with the HID headlights which are really bright. Overall I would rate the exterior of this car at a 9 out of 10, just because no car is perfect even from the factory but this one is pretty close. The interior is also in excellent condition. Everything is stock inside except for a aftermarket weighted aluminum shift knob and Mazda rubber floor mats. The shift knob made shifting a little easier and the floor mats do an excellent job of keeping the winter mess off of the carpet. I do also have the factory carpet floor mats that we switch back to in the summer months. The interior I would rate at a 8 out of 10 just because over time wear does show, no matter what you do to prevent it. But for the most part, the interior of this car looks like new. The car came with all the options you can think of besides the multi disc cd player and leather seats. It does have keyless entry with a brand new battery. Mechanically this car has been very well taken care off also. We are very picky about our vehicles and the oil always gets changed at 3,000 miles. Everything is stock as far as the drivetrain goes except for the brakes. We did not like the way the stock brake rotors looked so we put on all new brakes about 4,000 miles ago. The brakes we bought are the crossed drilled and slotted rotors with the ceramic pads. The rotors are plated in a zinc coating so they will never rust! These brakes work great and I have never heard them make a sound. A new battery was also just installed when we did the brakes 5 months ago. The engine is the 2.3L which is a very economical engine and does have some pep. The transmission is a manual 5 speed. The tranny shifts great with no noises and the clutch is nice and firm. Overall this is just a great car that gets great gas mileage and is fun to drive. Whoever ends up with this car will not be dissapointed and hopefully they will appreciate the time and effort that has been taken to keep the car looking great. I would not let the prior salvage title scare you because the work was performed flawlessly. I am very picky about our vehicles and I would never let shady work be performed on anything we drive. The inspection has been performed by the DOT and this car can be transferred to any other state just like a regular title car.
