Vehicle Detail
This is a scale replica of Henry Ford's revolutionary 1914 Model T Speedster. Manufactured by CRUE-CUT Manufacturing in Kansas City, MO in 1970. The Model T is powered by a Briggs & Straton 3h.p. Easy Spin gasoline engine. The Model T has a metal body and frame with fiberglass fenders. This rugged little car has a real working metal steering wheel with transmission manufactured by Maytag. We are the original owners. This Model T has been garage kept since purchased new in 1970. The original wheels were fiberglass. The spare tire pictured has the fiberglass wheels. Well over 25 years ago I purchased the aluminum wheels pictured from CRUE-CUT Mfg which were made to original equipment specs but are a lot more durable. The Briggs & Straton runs well and this Model T was driven in the local parade this year. The last time this Model T was driven was in August of this year. My father tuned the Briggs & Straton up this summer adding new spark plug. The throttle level is located just below the steering wheel. On the driver's side are two handles located on the exterior. One handle engages the drive belt. The other handle engages the brake. Not pictured, but also included is the original equipement spare tire mount bracket. This mounts the spare tire to the rear frame. Also included are Kenda Thorn Resistant tire tubes. I added a lot of pictures to show details and condition of this Model T scale replica. The passenger front and rear fenders are in excellent condition. The driver's side rear fender in is excellent condition. The driver's side front fender has a crack which was my fault when driving one time. I applied duct tape over the crack and fender area at that time. The duct tape backing (yellow or tan color) is the majority of what you see in the picture. This could easily be buffed off. however, the driver's side front fender will need to be repaired by someone with knowledge of fiberglass. This Model T scale replica is built very solid, with great attention to detail and even has grease fittings on the indepenent front suspension. Please ask any additional questions. Thank you for looking.
