Vehicle Detail

no reserve -- no reserve -- no reserve1977 Porsche 911S Coupé(Neunelfer Dachfenster)Looks Beautiful & Excellent Long Term Garaged Car -- Extremely Sought After Original ConditionHas not been started in 15 years -- Engine Turns Nicely With StarterWorldwide Shipping OK - Europe, South America, Australia, AfricaClean and clear title in handIncludes Original Books (Owner's Manuals)Brand new battery with receipt (purchased just to make the car complete -- I never owned it with a battery, not even a dead one)I bought the car with a title re-issued in early 1984 in Florida for the previous owner, and I retained color photocopies of both sides of that very cool old title that will go with the documentation for the car that you will get. Amazing to see a Motor Vehicle Certificate of Title for the State of Florida that is nearly 30 years oldNot a running and driving car -- engine turns nicely and sounds great using the starter; not sure what would be required to get it running; study the pictures and use your judgment -- I have tried nothing to get it running other than buying a battery (I didn't purchase to new battery to try to get the car running but rather just to make the car complete), adding motor oil to make sure it had some in the crankcase), and then turning the ignition switch to engage starter. I did not even put in fresh fuel and give it a shot...I leave that for you to do.)Rear 1975-77 Florida license plate includedVideos belowLocated in Wellington, FL a bit over an hour north of Miami, 48 minutes north of Ft. Lauderdale, and 10 minutes to West Palm. The zip code is 33414. Wellington is an upscale world-recognized equestrian community near Palm Beach, FL.Free courtesy airport pickup from West Palm Beach International (PBI), Ft. Lauderdale International (FLL) and Miami International Airport (MIA) for those who wish to fly in, rent a truck and trailer and trailer the car home. Also, courtesy car transport coordination is available to anywhere in the world through a preferred discounted shipping agent. Email thru eBay me for transport quote instructions...you'd be surprised how inexpensive it is to move a car across the country or world when you use the right channels who are working on repeat businessIf you contact me before the auction end about transport, I may offer to contribute to your transport costs as just a sign of good faith and well wishes...I want the car to go to someone who will appreciate it even if it's going far away.I am willing to entertain/receive outright offers for purchase before auction ends if that is more your style vs. bidding -- send me an offer through the eBay messaging system. I do not have a specific Buy-It-Now price in mind, but when I hear an adequate offer I may accept it, or I will simply wait for the auction to run its course.Getting to know me, your seller: I let you know all of the following not to somehow impress you (not that it necessarily would), but rather only to convey that I have a reputation to uphold, which I also rely on for business purposes. That is important information for a buyer to know. I am an Ivy League graduate. I am in my late-30s. I am a serious fellow, and I've been on the national and local TV news giving unpaid and unsolicited financial market commentary; also been in major national newspapers and magazines doing the same. Most recently, I was on M S N B C, C N N, and in A A R P magazine. There is nothing being hidden about this Porsche, as so many people do in ads and auctions. You don't get 100% positive feedback over 12 years of registration by hiding things. If there is something you should know about the car of which I am aware, it's available to you in the auction. I go out of my way by shooting hundreds of photos not just of every imaginable angle, but also in multiple lighting conditions, even multiple cameras, and I did a video -- by doing this you don't have to rely on a seller's "interpretation" of characteristics of the car, but instead you can draw your own conclusions from what you see. My goal is that if you use everything I provide to you, you get a more thorough demonstration of the car than if you came to see a car in person. I also go out of my way to make sure people are satisfied. I work hard to make sure I get specific positive feedback comments; I don't take it lightly, and it means a lot to me. I look forward to getting to know you if you'd like me to (or if you'd like to buy the Porsche without me getting to know you, that's OK too!)! Use the combination of the photos, videos and text for full disclosure, with more emphasis on the photos and video as the description is clearly not intended to be exhaustive. As eBay says, a single picture is worth a thousand words. eBay strongly recommends the best practice of providing as many photos as possible and letting the photos do the talking, rather than trying to describe in words what can be seen in a photo or trying to recreate in words what already is in provided photos. That said, I will still gave you my impression of the Porsche characteristics above as a secondary analysis. I have been registered on eBay nearly 12 years and have 100% positive feedback. If your impression of a picture/video differs from what I've written or said, then your opinion should govern your opinion. Any questions, message me through the eBay messaging system, which eBay indicates is always the preferred method of communication. I will answer promptly. I am a Management Consultant and recently got an opportunity outside the U.S. and my family has asked me to make garage space for them while I am away...I sold some other Porsches/VWs of mine from my collection in anticipation of this. In collaboration with my family I made the decision also to sell this one.AUCTION RULES: Full payment is due within within 7 calendar days of auction ending by either cash in-person to be transacted at a bank during banking hours or bank wire transfer only. (Once you receive a fraudulent cashier's check from a buyer, you'll never accept another one either!) If you insist on using a check, the check may only be drawn from a bank with a South Florida branch and it will be made out to your name where you will then convert it into cash in front of me or my representative before paying. If you don't do this you'll have to wait a minimum of 6 weeks for the check to fully clear and you will incur unavoidable storage charges. If you pay by cash, I will meet you in a local branch to accept the cash and it will be deposited immediately and obviously the bank teller will check each currency note for legitimacy. Pickup is also due within 14 calendar days, and may not occur until funds have cleared. Storage for the first 14 days is 100% FREE. There is a storage charge of $350/week beyond 14 days, and is limited to 2 extra weeks (for a total of 4 weeks of storage). If you want to avoid any of these storage fees but can't pick up the car for months, I can set you up with a public storage unit under your name, put the car in there and FedEx you the title, documents, etc., as long as you have paid in advance. You must read the entire auction description, follow the rules, and study each picture and video fully. I do not offer any kind of a warranty on anything that I sell, ever, as a matter of personal philosophy -- this Porsche is As Is with no warranty. You get the Porsche as pictured, captured in the video, and described, a clean a clear title, a Bill of Sale and copy of my Driver's License if you wish, and a single key for this car included that operates the ignition switch and both door locks. On Dec-30-11 at 13:16:10 PST, seller added the following information: The mileage stated at the top of the auction was 81,000, but it should have been 87,000. 81k was was a typo...again, that should have been 87,000 miles. As you'll see in the photos as you delve into them, this car has no rust where pre-78 911's usually have them -- floors, battery area, door jambs. Paint has chipped off in a couple places, which isn't rust -- they are just chips. The car has its original color, and was resprayed once more than 15 years ago. The dashboard is in excellent shape with no cracks. The door panels are strong and clean with working map pocket doors. The seats are comfortable and working properly. The power windows are working, as you'll see in the video that I will post soon. The power mirror is working. Lights are all working, except the left-side interior courtesy light is not turning on when you open the driver's door though it does turn on automatically when you switch it to the on position. The horn is working. The Blaupunkt radio is not working. The following slideshow automatically displays the first 100 of the hundreds of available pictures in this album. To view the remainder of them, and to be able to zoom in, etc., on the bottom right of the slideshow window right-click your mouse near where it says "View all" and then select "Open in new window" or "Open in new tab." That will keep this auction page open while you are viewing the pictures in a separate web browser window or tab: On Dec-30-11 at 14:48:19 PST, seller added the following information: The following movie is important to recreate the experience of seeing the car in person. It's a great, sunroof coupe car and I really want to showcase how great it is, but also to show you flaws... In the video immediately below, I walk around the car to give you various perspectives on it, demonstrate doors, windows, trunk, engine starter sound, engine close up, etc. I want to emphasize that I never tried to start this car, other than buying the new battery yesterday (included with receipt), and adding some motor oil to the oil filler. There are even cobwebs in the engine which I didn't disturb to show you that I didn't do anything to prepare it to run, including adding fuel -- I never have even taken the fuel cap off. I don't know why it was parked in the garage for so many years without being used, but it's great that it was done because you can see it's extremely well preserved, like a time warp. This video is 10-minutes long. Once the video starts to play, feel free to click the button at the bottom-right corner of the embedded video window to watch it full-screen and then click your Esc (escape) key on the top-left of your keyboard to return to the eBay listing for the Porsche. On Dec-31-11 at 07:43:25 PST, seller added the following information: The Photo Bucket photo album above now has a total of 750 pictures of the Porsche in it. On a different note, I wanted to point out that the tires are matching and have almost no miles on them, but they are 15 years old and should be replaced. On Jan-01-12 at 08:11:40 PST, seller added the following information: The clutch pedal feels normal, and sits at the correct height. The brake pedal feels normal, and sits at the correct height. The brakes (using the brake pedal or the emergency brake) will stop the car from rolling when it's in motion in the garage. I engaged the starter for a split-second in with the shifter in 1st gear, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and Reverse and it moves the car just fine in all gears, so the transmission and clutch feel good.
