In the family since it was 2 years old, this was my wifes dad's car. We got it when he passed. We didnt need the car but couldn t let it go yet. We gave it to our older daughter in Arkansas, Got it back when they got a new one, Gave it to the younger daughter who drove it for over a year, now she has another car. We now have it back and it's time to go to a new home. Were all out of kid's to pass it to. The car was always taken care of and is in great condition. It's not perfect, but very well maintained and dependable. I've never known it to use any oil between changes and gets between 25 and 30 MPG. Runs and drives very well. Another driver slid past the car on an icy road 2 years ago. It only put a crease in the side, the insurance paid to repair and repaint the car. Wasnt major and you would never know to look at it. It had new brakes all around about 14 months ago. We had it detailed and checked out at the dealer last year when we got it back. The only thing they could find was that the timing belt and water pump had never been changed, (recomended every 60 to 100 thousand miles). I had them put new plugs in it and service the engine, and just replaced the timing belt, idlers and water pump. I also found a crack in the rediator so it has a new LIFETIME WARRANTY radiator and fresh flush and antifreeze. We had all new tires put on it 2 weeks ago. They might have100 miles on them. Everything the car ever needed it got. Now all it needs is a good home. Someone to take to school or work or wherever they want to go. The cars nowhere near done yet, but we have 5 vehicles and just cant justify keeping this one. Dad didnt smoke, and both daughters had kids, so it wasnt smoked in a whole lot but did have an occasional smoker in it. Interior is very good for 10 years old. Cold A/C, Paint is great except for front bumper, it wasnt repainted with the rest of the car, (see pics). All glass is good. Everything works as far as I can tell. The check engine light is on and comes and goes at random. It's had a new co2 sensor twice, a new vacume sensor installed at the dealer, a new EGR valve, and been checked out 3 times. The light seems to have a mind of it's own. It has no codes indicating a failure. Dealer says it's just out of tollerance for a new car and nouthing to worry about. Car is being sold as is where is and shipping or pick up is the responsibility of the buyer. The car has no warranty other than the radiator. All receipts and paperwork we have for the car will go with it. Good soild comfortable and trustworthy transportation. Please ask a question if you have any. We had the co2 sensor replaced 3 years ago when the light 1st came on and it didnt fix the light. We then replaced the EGR valve. That did fix it. A month later the light came back on and the code was for the co2 sensor. We had it replaced again and never had another problem. Recently the light came back on, but it went off when I replaced the timing belt and waterpump. The light came back on the next day so I had the code checked. It came up as "exaust recirculation insufficient". I called the dealer and he said it could be a loose hose clamp, or the EGR valve, or it may fix it by running a good fuel system cleaner through it. Worst case, a new EGR valve is &169.00 and a co2 sensor is $139.00. If you live where you need an emissions inspection, your looking at about $500.00 bucks to replace both. ($300.00 if you can do the job yourself). so it's not a huge deal. If you dont need an emissions inspection, happy motoring ! I set the reserve low to compensate for the repair. Please note: other than the light, the car has a clean bill of health and the following new parts. Tires, timing belt, water pump, radiator, serpentine belt, and coolant flush and antifreeze. All high mileage maint has just been done and the car is ready to go for many years. Thanks
