Please read on for details. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION REPORT (FULL DISCLOSURE) MECHANICAL & PERFORMANCE: This Subaru starts right up and has plenty of power at all speeds. It idles without hesitation and drives strong at all speeds. The transmission shifts smoothly at all speeds with no problems. Subarus are know for having engine noise especcially in earlier models including the 1998 model. This engine has some strong engine noise especially at cold idling. It smoothens out a bit when warm, and still runs strong at all speeds. I am selling it with this noise. It shouldn't affect the performance of the vehicle. The brakes and tires are good. The exhaust is good and quiet but could use a muffler soon. The vehicle handles well but should have some attention to the control arms in the front. The vehicle has passed safety and emissions inspection. I am selling it as these issues listed above. It may have some other minor issues. It will be a good winter vehicle - and could be a great longer term vehicle with a little bit of work.. Qualifies for Penn Warranty - See info below. EXTERIOR APPEARANCE: A good looking car. This is a modern looking solid-bodied 1998 Subaru Outback. Factory deep red paint shines new. There is no ugly rust or dents. It only has minor imperfections common with all used vehicles. There are a few small dings, scratches and very light bumper scuffs. Its really in excellent condition for the model year. This car shows nicely and will not disappoint. INTERIOR & COMFORT: The Subaru Outback is a roomy and comfortable vehicle with plenty of cargo room. This is a fully equipped vehicle. It has a comfortable ride. The seats, carpets and dash are all very good. The interior is clean. Overall this is a very good to excellent interior with very few flaws. There is only a bit of light staining where the drivers feet rest. The dash, trim, carpets are excellent. Has a comfortable ride. Heat and defroster work well. All options appear to work. The rear wiper isn't working.
