Black 1955 Chevy Belair 2 dr sedan project. Way above average body, prior owner installed a cage inside car and struts running through firewall to tie the front end together. This cage is only tacked together making it very easy for the next owner to remove it if preferred (did not harm pristine factory dash). He also installed a brand new straight axle kit which is also just tacked in (yes it is all hooked up and it even steers). If you would prefer stock suspension components, I have most of it (goes with car). Next he was going to narrow it so some of trunk floor pan, right inner wheel house and up and over rear end and a little under the rear seat has been cut out (not visible with seats in place, all parts are readily available). Factory frame is still 100% intact, full interior is 100% intact. Factory seats, door panels, deck tray, headliner, all the ones that came from the factory with!! Carpet is gone, front seat needs recovering, along with front arm rests. Door panels, package (deck) tray, headliner, dash, are all good!! Even the factory paint on the dash still looks nice. Just the right amount of patina. Hole around shifter has been enlarged. Still in place is the 12 bolt rear end with HD positraction + 488 ratio, held in place with the stock leaf springs and old skool traction bars that have been with this vintage race car since the late 60's. Please note: The injected 301 small block, fenderwell headers, blowproof Muncie trans and shifter, wheels and tires, are NOT included with sale. If buyer of the car needs some or all of it, he will have the option to buy them after the sale of car, at a reasonable price to be determined after the sale only. Please do not email asking how much. (In chassis headers that were in car are included in auction.) The exterior could be left as it has aged or a complete restoration could be done. It's a fair observation that the body could use caps over headlamps and a few lower patch panels, braces, etc. Car is very solid and by no means a rust bucket, although its no show car with its share of scratches, dings, and nicks. The nice factory front fenderwells (uncut) and any stock type front suspension that I have goes with the car, along with a very nice complete front bumper assembly and driveshaft. Car was two tone surf geen and white, I believe. Car was painted black back in the 70's, so there is nothing hidden under a fresh coat of bondo, primer, paint. Glass is all good. You finish this project any way you wish. For you big block fans firewall has been professionally clearanced for a 396 427 454 big block and I have available both in chassis and fenderwell headers for that application if you're into that scene.
