Mercedes- Benz Chassis 250SL, 1967. I have owned it and used it as a daily driver since 2007. Great car. $3500 Valve Job in 2008. Flame Thrower Ignition coil and magnet point system installed- so no stalling. Brakes & tires 2009. New battery 2010. Installed a few rubber gaskets on the doors and fixed the brake lines. Ipod ready on the original stereo. A few spots of rust by the bumper, but nothing major. Front bumper is pitting. One leak around the rear axle boot ( I replaced it with a spit boot- in 2010- and not a solid). Runs great, just needs some money love (interior and touch ups). I always wanted to repaint the car before I started the in need of an interior restore, but you can make it look brand new for $2500 shopping on Ebay. I have a hard top, but it didn't originally come with the car and it will need a total restore. You can find a lot of these cars in better condition, but those guys never drive them and the seals are always blowing due to showroom neglect. I love this car, but the boss told me I needed a car for clients...so now it is for sale. Lots of parts as well.
