Vehicle Detail
i am listing this 1956 chevrolet belair for my neighbor and good friend. i found the car for him at a car show 2 years ago. he purchased the car for $23,000.00, then put another $40,000.00 in it, and he has the receipts for it. he has bought another late model car, and all this car needs to be done is paint, and really just the light blue area. if i had the money i would buy this car. BODY: the body is really straight and nice. the hood when he got it had a small dimple in it, but wanted it fixed, but was sanded down to much, so it was fixed and primed, but he also purchased a real nice hood that is included with the car. all the bumpers are nice, and the complete trim on the car is clean also. doors shut nice. this was a california car. it is a really solid body, and mainly just needs the blue painted. INTERIOR: the interior is a brand new danchuck kit. new headliner, i did it tilt column, with the smaller stock style 56 wheel. floor mounted automatic shifter, with ice cold a/c. floors have all been dynomated. has a new wiring harness also. clean glass. clock even works! DRIVETRAIN: brand new with 25 miles on a crate engine from smeding performance. it is a 383 with 383 hp, and 400 pounds of torque. aluminum heads. sounds great, and drives very nice. turbo 350 transmission, dual master cylinder with disc brakes up front. power steering. suspension has all been rebuilt, and has sway bars front and rear. new torq thrust wheels and tires.he has over $63,000.00 in to this car, and was really feeling sick when we were adding it all up. i guess he just ran out of steam and lost interest. ENDING: this car really needs only paint to be finished, and it will be a very reasonable car to buy. i will include a buy it now, but once reserve has been met--it will go away. the reserve will be UNDER $23,000.00!!! IF YOU HAVE LESS THAN 10+ FEEDBACKS--YOU MUST E-MAIL 1ST OR I MAY CANCEL YOUR BID. HE CAN STORE THE CAR FOR 1 MONTH FREE, THEN $75.00 PER MONTH AFTER. IT IS STORED IN A CLIMATE CONTROLLED GARAGE. PLEASE E-MAIL WITH QUESTIONS, AND IF I CANT ANSWER THEM, I WILL CONTACT ROGER. On Dec-12-11 at 17:59:03 PST, seller added the following information: I WENT OVER TO ROGERS TODAY TO LOOK AT THE VIN, AND TRIM CODES. THE VIN NUMBER IS VC56K085405--- THE V= V8 CAR, C=BELAIR, 56= 1956, K= KANSAS CITY BUILD. THE TRIM TAG SHOWS PAINT CODE OF 707D=IVORY WHITE AND NASSAU BLUE TWO TONE the primer spots are where the body shop was doing some final work on the car, but did not finish. the lower pass sender and door still could use some final work, but not a lot. the front fenders are not completely lined up, as the clip was off when motor was installed, just needs all the bolts put back in. pass rocker panel has some body putty in it on lower end, as i could also see a slight bit of rust on very bottom of rocker. remember, this is a 61 year old hot rod, and most all is new, or has been done, but want to be 100% with all as on all my auctions. this really is, and could be a great car with some paint. thanks! On Dec-13-11 at 06:16:57 PST, seller added the following information: I HAD A QUESTION ON IF THIS WAS A REAL BELAIR--YES IT IS AND SHOWS IT IN THE VIN NUMBER. THERE ARE ALOT OF 56 CARS ON E-BAY, SOME PRIMER, SOME NEEDING COMPLETE BODY WORK, OR JUST SOME MILD 283 OR 327 ENGINES, STOCK WHEELS, NEEDING INTERIOR. SOME OF THOSE CARS MAY SELL IN THE MID TEENS, THEN PUT ANOTHER $20,000.00 INTO IT, OR YOU JUST MAY WANT ONE OF THOSE RAT ROD LOOKING CARS. EVEN 4 DOORS, PEOPLE ARE ASKING A LOT, AND ESPECIALLY WITH THEIR 1-2 LINE DESCRIPTIONS. THIS CAR HAS THE RIGHT LOOK, WHEELS, AND DRIVE TRAIN. LOOK AT SOME OF THE OTHERS, AND ADD THE COST OF BUILDING A CAR. ROGER SAID IF THE CAR DOES NOT SELL, HE WILL JUST HAVE THE PAINT FINISHED, AS ITS SO CLOSE NOW, AND MAY KEEP IT. JUST THE THOUGHT OF LOOSING $40,000.00 IN 2 YEARS IS HARD TO THINK ABOUT--BUT SOME ONE WILL GET A GREAT CAR!
