1970 PONTIAC GTO CONVERTIBLE 455HO The 455 HO GTO was very rare, with only 241 being made. The one we have here is even more desirable because of the factory options it came with when new. Options included AM/FM Radio with Separate 8 Track Stereo, Bucket Seats, Center Console, Air Conditioning, Rally Gauges, Power Windows, Visor Mirror, Tinted Glass, Power Disc Brakes, Remote Mirror, Rear Deck Lid Wing, HO Air Cleaner, 455 HO 4- Barrel Engine, Turbo Hydra-Matic 400 Transmission, Under Hood Lamp, Variable Power Steering, Safe-T-Track Rear End, Deluxe Steering Wheel, Power Convertible Top and Luggage Lamp to name a few. This GTO was built in Freemont, California prior to being shipped from the factory on 03-25-1970 to Loveless Motor Co in Carlinville, Illinois. Going through the documentation we have, the car came to California in the ‘70’s. It appears it a had a frame off restoration sometime around 1999 or later and returned to Illinois in 2003 before being sold and returning to California in 2004. We have the Pontiac Historical Papers (PHS) to verify the way the car came from the factory. The undercarriage is detailed superbly and the engine bay is also very clean. The body is very straight and the paint still shows a very high level of quality. Interior is the same, and is finished to a very nice standard. Finished in its original and rare colour combination of Atoll Blue with Blue Interior and a White Power Convertible Top. According to the numbers on the engine and the PHS this is a matching numbered car. Here are the numbers. Eng # YC 0431838-large letters, located front of engine. #132935 small letters.
