What's New for 1996 Colors are big each year with Cadillac, and 1996 is no different. Cashmere, Parisian Blue and Sterling Silver replace Frost Beige, Baltic Blue Silver Mist and Shale on Eldorado's exterior color chart. Oatmeal leather replaces Cappuccino Cream as an interior color, while Pewter has been deleted, leaving only a few interior colors available. The Touring Coupe benefits from additional improvements. A revised instrument panel with larger gauges and a more sporty, contemporary look debuts. Rainsense, a system that automatically turns on the windshield wipers and moderates their speed when it detects rainfall, is standard on the ETC. The restyled dashboard gets a seamless airbag design for the passenger restraint, resulting in a more smooth, refined appearance. A new center armrest contains increased storage room for music and the cellular phone. An upgraded Continuously Variable Road-Sensing Suspension is standard. I TOOK THIS CAR IN ON A TRADE WHEN I SOLD MY BOAT, I HAVE CLEANED THE CAR AND GONE THROUGH IT COMPLETELY, CHANGING ALL FLUIDS AND CHECKING BELTS, TIRES, ENGINE MOUNTS ETC ALL ARE IN PERFECT CONDITION. IT RUNS DOWN THE ROAD STRAIGHT AS AN ARROW. EVERYTHING ON THIS CAR IS STILL ORIGINAL FROM THE FACTORY. IT COULD USE A FRONT RIGHT STRUT AS IT SQUEAKS ONCE IN AWHILE. THE BRAKES ARE PERFECT NO PULLING OR FUNNY VIBRATIONS IT STOPS STRAIGHT. I HAVE RUN THIS CAR FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME AND DROVE IT A MIN OF 500 MILES SINCE I TOOK OWNERSHIP. ITS LIGHTNING QUICK. EVERYTHING ON THIS CAR WORKS AS IT DID FROM THE FACTORY. IT HAS NEVER BEEN BOOGERED UP OR ALTERED, THIS IS NOT A KIDS CAR.. HAS VERY LOW MILES ON IT READING ONLY 92xxx, THATS LESS THAN 5 THOUSAND MILES A YEAR. HAS VERY SLIGHT ROAD CHIPS & SCARS BUT NOTHING THAT TAKES AWAY FROM ITS BEAUTY. PAINT SHINES VERY WELL AS THE PICS INDICATE, THE DASH INSTRUMENTATION IS LIT UP SHOWING SOME ISSUES, LOW TIRE PRESSURE, CHECK ENGINE, FASTEN SEAT BELTS, ANTI LOCK, AND A FEW OTHERS THAT I CANT REMEM, I DID CALL THE LOCAL CADILLAC DEALERSHIP AND THEY INDICATED THAT IT CAN BE FLASHED/RESET BACK TO FACTORY SPECS FOR APROX 100.00. THE FACT IS I CANT SEEM TO FIND ANY FLAWS IN THE WAY THIS CAR HANDLES. SO I JUST LEFT IT THIS WAY, IT SITS REAL NICE, IT HAS A WIDE SET OF GOODYEAR TIRES ON ALL 4'S, LOOKS REAL TOUGH. IT RUNS GREAT & WILL STOP ON A DIME. . IM REALLY LOOKING TO SWAP THE CAR OUT FOR A MID 80'S CORVETTE FROM 87-96, MILES DONT REALLY MATTER AS LONG AS IT RUNS AND LOOKS AS GOOD AS THIS ELDO DOES. THIS CAR IS NOT JUNK BY A LONG SHOT AND IM NOT LOOKING TO GET SOMEONE ELSES JUNK.. I CAN SAY WITHOUT ANY HESITATION THAT THIS CAR WILL RUN YOU ACROSS THE COUNTRY WITH EASE. JUST PUT THE KEY IN AND GO. IT COMES WITH THE ORIGINAL OWNERS MANUAL IN THE GLOVE BOX AS WELL. SPARE TIRE HAS NEVER BEEN ON THE GROUND.
