Vehicle Detail
Up for bid is this pristine low mileage Mercedes 280The vehicle is currently registered a historic vehicle in Virginia. It has always been garage kept and expertly maintained. The original owner owned the vehicle from 1973-2004. It has all paper work and service documentation from 1973. Features:1.All original interior that is a 9.0 out of 10. Even has the original radio and no cracks on the dash! Headliner is also intact and in great condition.2.All original bright work. No pits or scratches. Very good condition 8.5 out of 103.All original rubber trimming, bumpers and seals. The crazy part is that the weather sealing is in great condition! Thats very rare on a Mercedes of this age. 8.5 out of 104.Exterior paint work. Its my guess that the car has been repainted. I am very very picky when it comes to repaints. I hate over-spray, paint runs or mix matched painted sills and bays. None of that is the issue here. Only thing is some minor dings. 8 out of 105.Rust, frankly the car has little to no rust. The trunk has faint rust spots under the factory mat and there is one rust spot on the exterior of the car. 6.Recently serviced by a expert Mercedes mechanic insuring you trouble free operation. This Mercedes drives better then most modern day cars 9.5 out of 10 The car is no pebbles beach concours winner however it is a very nice driver and has always got very positive reviews at local car shows. It is a extremely clean car.Car runs very well for an older carbed car. Just had the original solex carburetors rebuilt and tuned by a Mercedes mechanic and replaced the original Mercedes mechanical fuel pump (took me 6 months to source).Car is always garage kept and has a fresh coat of Griots best of show car wax on it. In fact the car has always been detailed with the Griots detailer products. The bad. As you know the car is over 30 years old and not everything is perfect. The front Mercedes crest was stolen and missing. The drivers side carpet is worn down (pictured). There is some cracking in the laquer on the wood veneer (pictured). There is a slight ding on the chrome trim on the driver door (pictured). There is a small rust patch, about 2 fingers width on the rear drivers side fender (pictured). Needs new tires & The engine bay would benefit from a nice cleaning. Please click the links below for pictures of paper work and documentation.Pictured is just some of the service stamps: http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c105/jzz30tt/Benzo/IMG_0962.jpg http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c105/jzz30tt/Benzo/IMG_0963.jpg http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c105/jzz30tt/Benzo/IMG_0964.jpg http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c105/jzz30tt/Benzo/IMG_0965.jpg http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c105/jzz30tt/Benzo/IMG_0966.jpg I have tried my best to accurately portray this vehicle. I also have the vehicle for sale locally and reserve the right to end the auction early.Title is in hand and I accept cash or cashiers check from either Bank of America or Wells Fargo. I also have an enclosed trailer. For a price I am willing to deliver the car myself in the USA. You can message or email me for rates if you are interested
