Up for sale is my 1965 (titled new in 66) Honda 305 cc Scrambler. I've owned this bike for around 8 years and spent approximately 3 years on the restoration. This bike prior to restoration was a very complete and unmolested example. Only the finish had deteriorated over the years. The original engine ran strong and without issues. Every item, with the exception of the engine, was disassembled, cleaned and either plated or painted back to it's original finish. All of the chrome, including the exhaust, rims, handlebars, and misc hardware, was redone in triple show chrome. All other bright work was done in clear cadmium. The paint is all acrylic enamel. Any rubber items that had any deterioration was replaced with OEM or NOS if available. The gas tank was completely dent and rust free. There is absolutely no filler in any of the body work. The knee pads are original to the bike. Tires are new with only 50 miles since restoration. The seat including the cover is original to the bike. It has not been restored or painted underneath and is in very good condition. There is one small repairable crack in the cover (1/2 inch) near the piping at the rear. This is not noticable without looking closely. The engine was removed and Walnut Shell blasted for cleaning at restoration. It is original as it left the factory in 1965. The left and right cases were removed and polished. For originality these could easily be painted and the socket head screws replaced with the proper JIS phillips panhead screws. The engine runs as new and shifts smoothy through all four gears. The original tool kit is complete and included. It appears to never have had the tools removed from the pouch. The shocks are aftermarket. I will include a set of restorable OEM if the buyer request. The bike has been stored in my heated basement for the past 3 years. It was prepared properly for display and has had the engine turned periodically. At the buyers instruction, I will either prepare the bike to be ridden or I will do a complete inspection and leave bike in the as stored condition. Either way a new battery will bill included with the bike and shipped dry for the new owners use. I normally do not offer delivery on motorcyles but I will make an exception for this one. After payment in full, and with arraingements, I will deliver up to 500 miles from Lawrenceburg, TN for $0.45/mile with the first 100 miles free. I will also ship at the buyers expense and if the buyer makes the arraingements. I can build a crate for $100. A $200 downpayment is due through paypal in 24 hours after the auction ends. The balance is due 1 week after the auction ends an prior to delivery. Being a 46 year old motorcycle, there is no warranty other than to be as I have described. The bike is being offered with a low reserve. It is not being offered locally for sale and if the reserve is met it will be sold to the highest bidder. It is located in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee and may be inspected prior to the auction ending.
