Vehicle Detail
Porsche 911 964 1990 c-2 nice original condition wpoab2966ls450925 As you can see this is a nice original 1990 Porsche 964 that has been well cared for by its owner. We are selling it for the second owner who has finally decided that he did not want to repair the typical oil leaks that this series is famous for. Since Porsche decided to install rubber sealing rings between the cylinders and case, when these cars develop an oil leak, repairing it means removal of the engine and a top end tear down! Please keep that in mind when bidding and reading my description. This 964 is a one two owner car with all of the books and records having been purchased at Spartan Porsche in New York, housed in Charlotte North Carolina until 31000 miles and then coming here to Georgia by the time it had 42036 miles. The car currently has 137,914 miles all since coming to Atlanta driven by its current owner and long time friend of mine. The car is very very straight having never been in an accident and has a very clean interior as you can see in the many pictures we have taken. Our shop has completely checked this car and besides the oil leaks and the air conditioning not blowing cold, the car is in good overall condition, with plenty of power, smoothly shifting, and everything working. It has fairly new tires, a brand new battery, has been regularly serviced, and has the original finish. As you can see by the pictures, there are a few spots in the paint where the clear coat is coming off, the tail lights and center reflector are crazed and faded (a typical 964 problem), and the interior has a couple of worn spots (please look at the pictures), but in general the car is in good shape. There would be no problem driving it home anywhere in the country and the oil leak is not one to prohibit daily operation, just a nuisance causing smoke when parked hot and drips on the driveway! These days the rage is to convert these 964 models to 73 rs look-a-likes, replacing the fenders hood bumpers and lighting with the 69-73 style and adding the "carrera" side stripes. One gets the look of the early car with the convenience and power of the later one. We sell through our mail order business autoatlanta.com all of the parts necessary for the conversion. If you would like to arrange a viewing of this car or have any questions beyond my description and the pictures OR would like to speak to our service department about the car please call 770 427 2844 and ask for George Hussey in sales or Sean Buckley in the Porsche service department.
