Vehicle Detail
You are viewing a used Ford 3/4 ton pickup I have for sale. It is brown with a brown interior and a brown seat! I bought this truck not running at a local auto auction where it was sold by a local dealer that took it in on trade. When I bought it, it would not start and it had no brakes. I brought it home and found the battery was bad and the fuel pump did not work and it had a bad brake line. I replaced the battery with a good used one. I installed a new fuel pump and a new brake line. Then is started right up and runs good. I have been using it here on the farm to check my cows and haul out feed to them and it has really done good. I originally bought this truck because I have a Amish buddy that buys and sells these older 300 Ford motors for stationary power units and I thought he could use the engine. But this truck runs to good to scrap it. This engine would also be a good replacement for a Asplundh chipper engine. The odometer shows 48,277 miles on it when I took the photos. There is not another digit to show if those are the original miles or if it has 148,277 miles, I have no way to know. The engine is a 4.9 liter (300 cubic inch) straight six cylinder gas engine. It starts right up and runs very smoothly. It does not smoke or do anything wierd. The oil was clean and full when I bought it and it has stayed that way. The valve cover is a little oily, but I bet a new gasket would take care of that. It really runs good. You can leave it for several days and go out and it will fire right up. The transmission is a four speed manual. It shifts and works good and so does the clutch. First gear is really low, which is nice getting around the farm and pulling a trailer, but fourth gear is nice and high for out on the highway. It runs right on down the road. The parking brake works, but it needs tightening as it does not hold with a load on. I installed a new brake line that was bad when I got it and the brakes have worked fine, but the brake bleeder screw was broken off on one rear wheel so I could not bleed them like it should have been done. We were able to bleed the system fine by cracking the new line, but I wanted you to know the bleeder did not work. The truck does not have air conditioning, it never did. The heat and blower work as they should. It also only has the original AM radio - nothing fancy here! The interior is very straight and in good shape for its age. The dash is good and all the gauges and switches work. The seat is ripped on the drivers side, but it still sits good and the stuffing is still intact, it would be still a good seat if you cover it or have it stitched up. All the lights and blinkers work correctly. The windshield has two small rock chips both smaller than a dime which should be glued to keep them from spreading. They have not spread at all yet. The rest of the glass is good. The drivers mirror still works, but it is only half there. It needs a new mirror glass glued on. It has a sliding rear window - I think that was the only optional thing this truck has! The tag on the door reads that it has a gross vehicle weight rating of 6300 pounds. The front axle is rated at 2700 pounds and the rear is rated at 3880 pounds. It has a nice gooseneck hitch in the back for pulling a trailer. There is also a brake controller in the cab for hooking up electric brakes. I have not tested it so I do not know if it works or not. THe truck has a good heavy duty front and rear bumper - nothing plastic here! It also has nice farm duty running boards. The tires are nothing to write home about, but they all hold air and drive fine. I would not be afraid to drive it home anywhere on them, but they are worn and do not have a lot of tread on them. They are 235-85R16 size - see photos. It has a spare tire in the bed that will go with it - see photos. The truck's rear wheel wells are rusted through - see photos. Then someone did the worst body repair job on them I have ever seen in my life. I hope they had planned to sand it all down and just never did! It looks like someone took a trowel of mud and slopped it on there as a repair! It does not affect the driving of the truck, but I want to make sure you notice it in the photos as you for sure will notice it when you see it in person! The rest of the body is very straight - no big dents or dings. The paint is faded (it is 27 years old), but it is not all torn up. The grill is still good and all the lights are intact. There is some rust on the front wheel wells and on the rear cab corners. The bed is pitted on the floor, but it still is a solid bed and the tailgate opens and closes still. I have been driving and using this truck and it really works good. It is nothing fancy, and it is older so I can not guarantee it in any way. But I am selling it with no reserve what so ever so it should make someone a cheap old truck. It does not smoke or do anything wierd, it has been a very dependable running truck. I used it today to repair some fence and it starts and stops and gives me no problem whatsoever. I also have driven it to the feed store to get cattle mineral and it runs great on the highway. Just don't buy it to go out on the town in - it is nothing fancy! You are welcome to come try it out before the auction ends. I have a clean title for it. What you need to do is buy a bunch of other items I sell and then use this to haul it all home! NO RESERVE! I am starting this at 99 cents with no reserve! I thought for fun I would just see what it does. It will sell to the highest bidder here on ebay - no local sales, it won't vanish off ebay the hour before the auction ends! That always makes me mad when sellers do that. High bidder will be the new owner, I just expect that person to pay for it within one week of the auction ending. You can leave it here for six months before you have to have picked it up. Good luck - bid high and bid often! LOCAL PICK UP I am a cattle farmer here in Mid-Missouri, so I am flexible about when you want to come and get items you have purchased from me, but I try and keep a schedule for my families benefit. I ask that you come between 9:00 in the morning and 4:00 at night. I am not available on Sundays whatsoever - that is God and family day, so don't ask! Just because I am a farmer does not mean that I am here everyday, I travel around to auctions and surplus sales and am gone several times a week. So don't do like some folks have in the past and drive 800 miles to get here and find out I am gone. You must contact me before you just show up! My granny always said that showing up unannounced was rude - you have to give people notice so they can get presentable. Trucking/airport pickup I have a local trucking company that I highly recommend that you call if you need a quote on having larger items like machinery and large trucks hauled to you. They are DAB Transport and their phone number is: (816)230-4135. They are located in Odessa, Missouri, and are just all around good folks to deal with. They are equipped to deal with about anything you need hauled, including tall bucket trucks and heavy machinery. I am located 100 miles West of the St. Louis airport, 10 miles off Interstate 70 at the Kingdom City exit #148 in Fulton, Mo, 65251. If you buy a vehicle from me and want to drive it home, there is a nice shuttle service that runs between the Kansas City (KCI) airport and the St. Louis (STL) airport. It is called: MO-X. They make a stop at my exit on I-70 at a McDonalds restaurant to pick up and drop off passengers. I can meet you in Kingdom City with your vehicle purchase so you can drive it home. There is also a local license bureau where you can buy a one way trip permit temporary tag if you want one. PAYMENT I require payment in full within one week of auctions end. Once it is paid for, there is no hurry for you to pick it up - take six months if need be! If you don't come get it after six months have passed since the end of the auction, it will be resold, and my wife gets the proceeds. If you have a legitimate reason why you need to wait longer than six months to pick up your purchase, contact me and we will work something out. If you have any questions, you can e-mail or call me at (573) 219-6611. Thanks for looking and please check out my other auctions! CONTACT ME If you have any questions about this item, or about delivery or shipping, you can call me or email me. Don't be shy! The only stupid question is the one you are afraid to ask. I prefer email as it lets me answer questions at night when I am not busy and it gives me time to find the right answer to your questions. I also run tractors and skid loaders here on the farm and a lot of times I do not hear my phone. I also live in a rural area and in a lot of places I do not get phone service. One of the places I do not get good coverage is in my shop! So if you can't get me on the phone, try back later or better yet, send me an email and I will get back with you. You can send me an email through ebay or you can send it to me directly to: olivetroad@gmail.com My cell phone number is: (573)219-6611 Check out my other items! Be sure to add me to your favorites list!
