Dependable, Solid (not perfect), Family/Utility Van. Up for sale is a 2001 Dodge Caravan Sport. This is a 2 owner vehicle, the first owner being my mother-in-law. This vehicle has been in the family since it was new. We have all of the repair records and can supply them with the sale. The vehicle is a daily driver and has never let us down. It runs very well and is actually surprisingly nice to drive. It has had a recent tune up including new muffler, new spark plugs, new spark plug wires. Also has a brand new battery.Car doesn't leak anything and has had regular oil changes and maintenance. Tires were new at 97k and are 100,000 mile tires. The interior is in very good condition and includes the quad seating option, 2 bucket seats in the front and 4 separate bucket seats in the back (the pictures I took show only 3, there are 4 with car, just wanted to show that they come out easily opening up the back.Has the automatic sliding door option which my wife loves. While the general mechanics of the car make it a great daily driver and family vehicle there are some things that don't work on the car. They appear to be mostly electrical, they don't bother me so I didn't spend the money to fix them. These include: cruise control doesn't work, the horn doesn't work, the fan for the climate system only runs on high speed (air conditioning works great as does the heater), the rear window wiper motor doesn't work, the air bag light comes on randomly but the bag has never been deployed. You can see in the pictures that the body has 3 areas of rust: 1. the liftgate where the window meets the body has perforation from rust 2. the front edge of the hood is rusted 3. near the gas cap there is bubbling under the paint. In spite of the listed issues this is a car you could drive anywhere. This has been our family vehicle and it has been a good one.
