Frame-off Restoration: 1958 MGA This is almost like a new car. It has the new car smell and feel but is still a classic roadster 1958 MGA. This is a Complete restoration. This is not only a great driver car but is a show car as well. It has a newer 1974 MG 1800cc motor and transmission for extra reliability and more horsepower. The motor and transmission were both totally rebuilt. Everything has been taken off the frame and rebuilt or was new when installed. The body was taken off the frame, stripped down to bare metal and was painted the factory color, which is Chariot red. Most of the cars you see online will not have any pictures shown of the restoration process but I have all the pictures as shown with the different stages of completion. There is NO Rust anywhere on this car. Just about everything that could be power- coated was. Whom ever buys this car will get all of the factory manuals that tell you how to take off every part of this car and how to replace it in diagrams and pictures. I have all of the catalogs necessary to buy any part on the car. I also have my mechanic's number to give to any one and all he does is work on MG's for over 20 years. We just had given the car a tune up and like I said everything is new or rebuilt. The starter, generator and electronic distributor (pertronix) are new and only a week old. Even though everything has been done to this car, it will not have a warranty and will be sold in "as-in" condition. Whom ever buys this car will receive all of the pictures of the restoration that have been shown and more, they are all on disc. I also have almost all of the receipts for the total restoration and will forward those to the new buyer. The parts alone on this car are over $16,000 without any labor fees. This car has never been out in the weather and only driven on the weekends or to car shows. The speedometer shows 1,497 miles. I love this car but I am ready for a different car to rebuild.
