Listed for sale is my 1962 Corvette 2 top roadster restomod. I have owned this car for twenty years and it has undergone extensive modifications and restorations. I have available a CD with over 50 pictures of the restoration process for a serious buyer. The pictures shown in the ad do it little justice, as it really is quite a work of art. Although it has has won over 200 awards in the past 20 years it is not intended as a show car but it is meant to be driven. Over 53k mile show on the odometer since the first restoration, but only 500 since the most recent upgrades, including $20,000 in body and paint work, $5000 in all new leather custom built seats and carpets, rebuilt transmission and rear end and a completely freshend 383 stroker motor (dynoed @ 452 hp). Plus a 150 shot of nitrous. I only used the nitrous one time to test it. It is mostly for show. 4 wheel disc brakes with a Wilwood master cylinder. Jim Meyer Racing front suspension with tubular a arms, coil over shocks, and rack and pinion steering. I-did-it polished steering column with a custom steering wheel. AM/FM cassette player with a 6 disc CD mounted in the trunk. Be Kool radiator with aux cooling fan. All chrome and bright work is in excellent condition and was either repolished or rechromed at the time of restoration. There is probably something I have forgotton to list, but if there are questions I will be happy to answer them. YES, there is an almost new, in perfect condition, white convertible top. It is mounted to the car under the hard top deck and works quite well. Here is a list: The engine started life as a 350 cid 4 bolt main. It was bored .030 and a "Scat" 400 crank shaft was added, along with 5.7 rods. The block was align bored and decked. The total cid is 383. The heads are 2.02 aluminum Edelbrock castings that were CNCed. The camshaft is a 1996 corvette LT4 profile with a double roller timing chain and Harlan Sharp roller rockers. It sports a 1990 Corvette tuned port injection system including the onboard computer that was reworked by TPI Specialties of Texas with a new wiring harness designed for the 1962 Corvete. Headman long tube headers that are triple ceramic coated finish off this potent engine. The transmission is from an early Oldsmobile stationwagon that came with a high outpu 455 cid engine. It has a dual bolt pattern, which means it will bolt up to a Chevy or Olds or a Pontiac. It was beefed up to handle the extra power of the engine. The rearend has heavy duty axles and heavy duty posi unit that has a 3.55 ratio.
