I bought this A4 brand new from Gerald Jones Audi in February of 2000. It's a 99.5 model with the sport package. The car was meticulously cared for up to 60K miles, then I left the country for 1 year during which time my younger brother had care of the vehicle. When I returned the vehicle had 90K and some definite loss of power. I took back ownership of the care to restore it to it's glory days. I found a mechanic at the audi dealership who did work on the side and he performed the following work; 1) Timing belt change 2) Replaced valve cover gasket (fixed oil leak) 3) Replaced stock springs with eibach springs (lowered 1.5in) 4) Replaced transmission ecu 5) Replaced front wheel bearing 6) Installed Cross Drill and slotted rotors 7) Install new brakes all around He also performed other minor work which I dont remember. We never did restore full power, but the only electrical issue at that point was the key for the remote alarm. The alarm would still activate by manually locking and unlocking the doors. I've changed several stock parts and I don't have any of the originals besides the stock wheels. Things I've either changed recently others not so recent or spare parts; 4 Tires = less than 5K miles, These were purchased a little over a year ago ( since 2006 I've driven the car approximately 35K mi) 1 Brand new full size spare in the trunk, brand new wheel and tire. 1 Brand new battery from Sam's club ( ~ 2 months old) 1 Brand new coil pack (spare part) 1 used ignition control module (spare part) 1 used A4 stereo (This spare never got installed, the existing cd player controls function but the cassette player has a mechanical issue.) 4 eibach springs 1 chipped ecu by APR 1 full set body kit by Kerscher (fiber glass) Front bumper damaged as seen in pictures, rear bumper and side skirts unprimered 1 roof spoiler I think by Rieger or other brand from this site. http://www.lltek.com/ (hard plastic installed on car) 1 headlight assembly and 1 set rear light assembly Please, ask any questions you may have, I can't think of every possible detail. To my knowledge all the electronics work as far as headlight, turning signals, rear brake lights. As mentioned the remote key fob doesn't work. AC still blows cold. Recent Damage to Car (reason for selling): My wife recently borrowed the car and in her attempt to park she accidentally stepped on the gas and jumped the curb, mind you the car has already been lowered. You can see the apparent damage from the before and after pictures of the front bumper. Mechanically I'm not sure what's wrong but since the accident I drove the car twice and on the second trip I almost didn't make it home. I only live 7 miles from my job and decided to make a couple test trips too be sure before taking it on the highway after the accident. While leaving work the engine was idling very rough and sputtering but wouldn't completely shutoff so I was able to make it home. At that time the engine idle was very rough, now after a week I attempted to start car today and it currently will not start. Car will need to be towed, I will assist in shipping anyway I can. Engine light was on before accident and also the fuse for the anti-lock brake was remove due to it activating while slowing to a stop. Never been in any accident with the exception of my wife jumping the curb, so no frame damage whatsoever. You will noticed two sets of pics some are before and some are after the accident. The car is being sold as is!! Everything mentioned is included in the sale of the vehicle. A non-fundable deposit of $200 is required immediately after the auction and the remainder is due in 7 days.On Nov-18-11 at 07:49:42 PST, seller added the following information: I've also come across some unused items such as oem air filter, extra lug nuts front wheel bearing.
