This jeep runs well, and shifts well. The 4 wheel drive works well also. We are technically the third jeep owner, but actually only the second user. There are several notable issues that need to be disclosed, because of its age: · It is starting to consume oil. · There is body rust on the front (2) fenders, windshield frame and at certain locations around the body. The RF fender & bumper are damaged. · The windshield is cracked. · There is frame rust/rot. The upper right rear shock mount rusted off the frame. A new steel angle shock mount was fabbed and welded to the framed over a year ago. It is still attached and functional. · The rear track bar mount and lower rear shock mount attached to the differential rusted in half. A new track bar mount and shock mount was fabbed and welded onto the differential about nine months ago. It is still attached and functional. · The driver’s side floor rotted out, but was repaired to functional (not restoration) standard. · There are other areas on the frame and under body that are rusted to certain degrees of deterioration, but at present these conditions do not affect the functionality of the Jeep. · There are steel cracks in the hard door frames where the window band meets the main part of the door. · The clutch works fine, but the slave cylinder leaks. · Some brake lines have been replaced because of rust. · Pinion seal on rear differential leaks. All interior instrument panel lights and gages work. Power steering works. Wipers work. Factory AC works and so does heater. Power brakes work. Comes with a radio/CD player. Music skips when playing a CD and you hit bumps. Tires are greater than 50%. Radiator and AC condenser were recently replaced. So was the alternator and drive belt. Both differentials are open-type. Has a current NJ emissions inspection sticker (January 2013) Comes with a hard top and a soft top. The soft top needs repair (some stitching has come undone). I also have mirrors to attach to the jeep when riding without doors.On Nov-10-11 at 14:55:14 PST, seller added the following information: ****November 10, 2011**** I will also include with the Jeep a tow bar. Tor receive these additional pictures, send me a message with your email and I will forward them to you. While taking the pictures, I noticed an oil leak from the engine (near the rear of the engine). This may be the "consumption" I describe in the original post.
