1947 Hudson Coupe This Super Six has got to be the finest orginal survivor left. This car lived in Kansas and was last plated in 1963. In 1976 it was found at the famous Maupin Salvage Yard in Kansas. From 1976 until 2011 it lived in dry Texas and was stored inside by a long time Hudson club member. Since new this car has been in a dry climate and it shows. Zero Rust. Doors close perfectly. Extensions on lower doors along with other extensions are perfect. Inner running boards also perfect. Rocker stainless both very nice. Motor is not stuck. Three speed trans no overdrive. All 4 fenders rust free and dent free. Doors have zero rust and no dents. Hood, deck lid and roof are all perfect. All the pot metal pieces are near perfect (see pics) Front bumper has no dents or bends, should buff up shiney no plating needed. Bumper guards also very nice. The grille is perfect. The head light surrounds are also perfect (see pics). Has factory wiper squirters and bottle (squirters are perfect).(see pics) Has oil filter on firewall. Both shields on either side of motor still like new. Hood ornament very nice (see pics) Name plates on hood very nice. The interior is all original. The dash glass pieces are each perfect. No radio. Top of dash woodgrain is faded but the face of dash woodgrain is nice. The seats are covered with aftermarket seat covers (see pics) original interior underneath. Original door panels are there (see pics) rear seat arm rest and panels are nice. All inner and outer handles and cranks very nice and all there. Headliner is original is dark and has one small hole above rear glass. The original front rubber floor mat and the original rear carpet are in place. The trunk floor is perfect along with the name plate, hood hinge and trunk handle all chrome on trunk has no pits. No rust in spare tire well (see pics) tail lites glass and chrome are perfect. Rear bumper and guards same as front. Center of real bumper at top edge had a 1/2 inch tear. All stainless pieces are nice and present. All 4 hubcaps and 4 trim rings are nice and on car. The car was originally a two tone black over grey. The paint code is stamped on the upper right side inner door hinge (see pics). Also the cardboard glove box liner is as new. Car has the correct heater. Windows open and close as new. The floors are perfect front and back. This car truly is a time capsule. The gas tank is like new (see pics). I also have a 1947 Hudson Business coupe wich is completely restored. This is why I am selling this coupe. I also have a overdrive unit that will be available at an extra charge if the winning bidder is interested.
