Vehicle Detail

For all of you who are watching the car-This is the absolute last time I am listing the car for sale. I have a previous customer who has contacted me and wants a restored beetle convertible. While I was hoping to get to doing some of my own projects like my 65 Mustang Fastback, I guess I will just have to put off working on some of my own toys next month and finish the car. I originally purchased this car due to the fact that the Convertible top was nice shape and heat channels and convertible rails under the rockers were in such nice shape. I have been restoring these cars for 35+ years so I have a good knowledge of what to look for. My wife and I like to go for rides together so I can deliver on my personal car trailer a reasonable distance,( work it out with me ahead of time) or you can get a cheap beetle tow bar for $75. that simply clips to the front axle tube.- I may even have one. I can bolt the fenders back on the car for easy travel or transport. Everything is boxed for the car. This is a good running classic car that needs minimal floor work. Could be reassembled over a long weekend and driven as is then painted later. Paint faded. Support rails and heat channels are good. This is a solid car. Doors open and shut with good gaps and no sagging. I have everything taken off the car except carpet. Seats are nice shape. This car was on the road and driving last year. Mechanically brakes and everything work good. Engine runs super. Everything functioned as it should. I took the car apart to install new floors and paint it to be mint. The convertible top is very good. I am also including $500 worth of floor pans. Car started right up today and drove around fine. Car has nice seats and good fenders. Bumpers are decent and convertible top, windows all function as they should. The dash is not even cracked. Tires are new! Car has new starter and ignition switch. Car has even had the spare tire well replaced. This would make an easy and great winter project or father/son/daughter project. Check my feedback for confidence. Car is sold with a bill of sale as Maine does not issue titles for cars more than 15 years old. A few people have asked me about the floors. New ones are included! Current floors are tender and could be patched easily. You can put the floors in these cars without taking the body off the pan.I have done many of these cars over the years. It is easy. Just get the "bug me" CD and it shows just how easy it is to do with basic tools. If you do not have a welder they can be put in with self taping screws and pop rivits. I have everything in boxes taken off the car-lights, directionals, interior ect. I am selling because I want to focus on my 65 Mustang fastback and I have to many projects.
