Up for sale is a super neat classic southern 1971 Fiat 850 Spider Sport...this car has been stored for a long time and has only been driven on occasions...just purchased and drove it home...the more I drive it the better it runs...got a small miss...definetely needs a tune up...interior is original..needs cleaning..wood steering wheel...4 speed transmission...jumps out of gear sometimes in 1st...supposedly the tires are the original ones...original paint...27260 miles...all original...there are a couple of nicks on the right passenger side door...top passenger fender has a small dent on top ..behind the seats looks like someone sat on this area during a parade and its dented a little...original top in good condition..car is real sharp...some one painted the mid section of the front bumper with alum. colored paint..this could easily be replaced...tires are in good conditon...as I said this car has been in storage a long time ...headlights aren't working or brake lights...has solid floor pans...no visible rust that I could see...engine leaks a small amount of oil..looks like the valve covers may be leaking...always garaged and covered...glass in good shape...mileage subject to change...drives good...drive it home... This is a used car and there may be other issues that the car may have that I have not mentioned...you are welcome to have it inspected by a mechanic at your own expense prior to buying...international buyers are welcome..please contact me prior to bidding...all expenses and taxes required to purchase and buy title and tags are the responsibilty of the purchaser...1971 Fiat is being sold as is where is... auction could end at anytime due to local sale...once reserve is met the Fiat will be sold to the highest bidder and taken off the local market...27260 miles...International buyers welcome...msg. me with any questions prior to bidding...please have your financial arrangements and delivery details in place prior to bidding...On Nov-05-11 at 14:13:04 PDT, seller added the following information: had engine checked out by my mechanic..while driving the vehicle the shifter jumped out of gear one time and it was second gear..mechanic replaced the spark plugs and battery...made several adjustments to carb... when purchased it had bad gas in it and with the fresh gas it started to run better...still not running right and has a lot of blow by from the engine...mechanic said that the carburetor probably needs rebuilt and the engine rings probably need replacing...this is something to consider in buying this vehicle..other than that the car looks great ..having said all of this I would plan on having the engine & carb reworked for daily driving...
